I can remember going many times to that historic and beautiful Norwich Savings Society bank building!☺I went to the Woolworth's store in the early 60s with my Mom, what great memories!☺

That was a great video! You had a nice walk! I remember walking in Norwich in the rain so many times but the difference was, the street was still filled with people. The good ole days! Thankfully, some of the wonderful buildings are still there to make us still have happy memories. Too bad someone doesn't do something great with that Flat Iron building. Sad looking at Main St. with all the empty stores because it used to be so filled. Oh well, times are changing. Thanks for the video!

@@Patmora33 Pat…….I agree…….the Flat Iron building is a treasure and I would love to see that fixed up and operating at full steam. Thank you very much for watching.

Good to see this, it was nice to see a street level view of Norwich. I recently found a live webcam showing downtown from the far side of the marina.

Boy does this bring back memories!. I took trumpet lessons in a building on Main St. across from the Social Security office building on Main St.. Thanks for this video Tom!☺

I remember that music store well. They held lessons upstairs.
@discgolfbilly8 ай бұрын
@@TomKaszuba It was in the late 60s when I had my trumpet lessons, upstairs in that building, as you also noted. It was quite the music store and sold many instruments. My lesson were quite expensive, $50 per our, and my teacher was Mr. Brundidge who play a lightweight silver trumpet, mine was a less expensive brass Bundy model, which I still keep in good shape, and occasionally toot.....LOL☺BIll M. from Uncasville

Glad you spotted your car. 100 years from now when someone is watching this video your car be entombed in this video. 👍🏻

I think its much better quality hearing all the noise from traffic and surroundings, much better realism. Being a a car you don't hear anything. It's amazing that old Dunkin Donuts shop has been empty so long, it really is a prime location. Just makes me think about how things are there and really hasn't changed too much, which could be good or bad depending on a persons own point of view. There really is some classic architecture there that probably goes un-noticed by many just driving by it every day. I don't see homeless everywhere in the streets, there's a lot to appreciate there.

@TomKaszuba I lived in the norwich area in the mid to late 60s in a town called lisbon, my step dad had a car dealership right outside of town. We moved around 1969 to new york. I went back to look at my old house the other day and drove past my step dad's dealership which now houses a bunch of school buses. I also remember as a kid going to the post office in town with my mother
