I’m curious to know what your width size is? Also, do you feel a difference in width beyween the Helix vs the Vapor S?? Or do you feel them the same??

Can't directly compare the shoes as we had different riders test the Helix and Vaypor S shoes (EUR 41 / 44). The soles of the shoes look quite similar though (aside from the cable routing). Compared to a Shimano RC9 EUR 44, the wide EUR 44 definitely is a lot roomier and feels more comfortable after the heat molding.

Good Evening from Saudi Arabia. If I want to heat mold my Helix, what about the Boa Dials? Do they stay on?

Thanks for the question. Yes, you leave the BOA dials on. You put the entire shoe without cleats in the oven to warm up. The recommended temperature is low enough that it won't damage the shoe, only make the carbon soft enough to mold.

We recommend using the Bont Cycling sizing wizard on their website. The fit is a bit different than other shoes with their anatomical design so it may recommend a slightly different size than you expect.

I certainly appreciate the fact that taste is subjective so take this with a grain of salt. I think most wide shoes do just look awful. Both the design and the perceived quality. Perceived, because I've only had main brand shoes in my hand and can't really justify buying either lakes or bonts because they seem like a huge step down in quality. Like for example the vaypor s looks like a worse version of the Shimano rc900, which is like I don't know, 7 years old?

Great point. Bont Cycling shoes in general won't win any beauty competitions with their anatomical design even if you don't get a wide variation. That said the Bont Vaypor S shoes have been the most comfortable I've worn which is why my gorgeous Shimano S-PHYRE shoes have been collecting dust in the closet.

@@TheSweetCyclists that's very true. would you consider your feet being any special form i.e. wide, bunion etc? The vaypor s do seem tempting as they also do look okay, but I somehow have issues ordering a shoe for 300 bucks that are super inconvenient to return in case they don't fit and again, just like lakes they somehow seem to me being in an used condition brand new...

I've got slightly wider feet, so the EUR 44 wide have been very comfortable. You can see our review of the Reflex Vaypor S shoes, and it's been what I've been riding with for the last year. Again, they aren't nearly as pretty as the Shimano S-PHYRE shoe but even after 80 mile rides I don't have any discomfort. Note, they are on ProBikeKit for about ~$269 right now depending on the size you choose.
