Thank you Bontragers for the beautiful music, and the Godly family values. I loved meeting you at the Bible Bee in San Antonio last fall.

Praise the Lord! Just awesome music. Truly a miracle that a family can make music together like this. May the Lord spark 'revival' in this land with this family. Thanks for your beautiful music. It is a real blessing. Keep up the great work!

I thank the Bontrager family for their high necklines and long dresses. In today's culture, there is a desperate need for modesty. I really applaud you guys. Above all, I applaud what God is doing through you.

the message behind their music is what makes it beautiful. Hopefully they'll never condescend to sing the kind of trash that most people have forced on them by mainstream media.

I love this song! I am trying to understand the second line of the chorus. I am not 100% sure what is being said, and I don't want to learn it wrong, lol. Can someone advise? Thanks!

There is no shame in bringing the name of Jesus to a lost and dying world. I John 1:7 "but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin"

I dont think the lyrics are bad, and I also have taste. It's a subjective opinion and yours is being expressed gracelessly and arrogantly. Also - I specified a message and not a stylistic format that was the force behind their music, you don't seem to see that. Anyway, different strokes. We all have an opinion!
@MrSmokeyKitty287812 жыл бұрын
You are way too invested in this. Are you one of the Bontragers? You totally have taste, I agree... Its just VERY bad! But, you didn't like my opinion and called names, so I'm entitled to do the same. Sorry, turn about is fair play dude. Keep on responding, you are making me laugh!!! :-)
@MrSmokeyKitty287812 жыл бұрын
What's the message? That they can't write lyrics? They should stick to instrumental or do covers of well written music. What does bad writing have to do with the mainstream media? And there are lots of amazing singer songwriters and bands with smaller followings out there in the folk, bluegrass, and country genres and they are not performing "trash". They do what they want to do, and they do it well. The Bontragers are not doing it well. I'm not the "media" or "mainstream", I just have taste.

Honestly, can you say that angels in heaven would play instruments and sing this way? Seriously, think about it. Can you envision Jesus jumping around to music like this? It is a dangerous step to offer strange fire before God. Do not mix the common with the sacred.
@Gods2ndFavoriteBassPlyr9 жыл бұрын
Why would Jesus jump around..? He doesn't praise himself - lol

The use of musical instruments to create a bedlam of noise, shocks the senses and perverts the worship-The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music than to use musical instruments to do the work of the enemy. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit’s working.

HumanEffortDivinePower Have you actually ever opened a Bible??? Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Eph 5:19-20 Psa_28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my ---SONG--- will I praise him. Psa_33:3 Sing unto him a new song; ----PLAY---- skilfully with a loud noise. Psa_40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psa_96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Psa_13:6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. Psa_30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Psa_33:2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Psa_92:3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. Psa_144:9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. So how about learning what the Bible teachers before lecturing people out of ignorance?

I have less respect for you guys than anyone. You were raised better and now toss aside the covering, cut your hair, and wear jewelry. Your disobedience is willful instead of merely ignorant. You bring shame on the Bontrager name. I am a Canadian Mennonite.

They stole the Von Trapp children's play clothes! The Bontragers seem to have good fiddling skills and decent voices, but man do they need better material. The inspid lyrics really ruin the music.
