This is a very high quality 13 minutes wow, thanks! 🤩 Love hearing you guys talk through stuff like this. I consider myself very femme, and yet what you said Taryn about feeling less femme more masc when your self esteem is lower, woah that hit a nerve for me. I'm realizing I absolutely feel less femme when I'm less in shape, more self-conscious, etc. How sad that society has tricked us into thinking our femininity is related to how good we feel about our bodies. Thank you for this realization!

i feel like labeling yourself can have power but only if you let it. for instance, i have a queer friend who was pretty set on labeling herself and putting herself in a box and that helped her feel like she had a specific community to call home. for me, i’ve never really identified as anything but lesbian/ gay/ maybe chapstick(?) bc now i know what it means 😂but yeah, i think if you want to label yourself then it’s important to you . but i don’t prefer labels bc they feel too restrictive like i have to act a certain way in any given situation, but at the same time i still do crave the sense of belonging in the lesbian community. anyways this was great food for thought & this lil snippet made my day😌🩷

I love that you gave us a snippet of your Patreon episodes! I also feel like Taryn - somewhere in between masc and femme, and it's weird not knowing where I land. Maybe that's okay, but there's a bit of a draw to me to find my label. 🤷♀️
