Yea, you don’t use the bonus attribute points for the strength to damage ratio though. You use the attribute points in a way that having the weapon equip with give you say the 4th perk in strength which. IS worth the loss because you gain 15% flat damage this also allows you to put those 35 attribute points somewhere else. That’s is why you use weapons with bonuses in your main stat. Not because of point to damage ratio. Love your videos though. Keep it up Wak!!

The difference is based on the points being rounded from after the decimal damage points. Ex. 100.25 ( base damage) + 6.48( bonus from weapon attribute) = 106.48 or 106 damage totaled. Where as Ajahs Bane is 100.53 base damage + 6.48 attribute boost = 107.11 or 107. We know the decimals exist in EVERYTHING funcom does in conan. Weapons, fuel use, attributes, drops, etc. So it would stand to reason it would be the same on this test. Thanks Wak. As we have all come to expect, great vid man.

most people use the bonuses to get to key benchmarks. I feel like, to accurately test the true benefit, you would have needed to set your base strength at 35 and perform heavy attacks. I feel as tho the result would still be minimal, but thats the only reason why people use those weapons so it should be tested int that way.

Yeah, It's a different line of testing, really more build based over just understanding the numbers behind the bonus. I have it planned for the future to find a best build setup and show the differences in the damage from a attribute point distribution perspective.

I love your vid's because they are short and then i can spend my time playing instead of ~testing~ / fighting with admin mode+mods :D To that end I personally would appreciate a short video show casing at least one weapon (we could presume other weapons would function similar) and comparing the two with respect to having the 4th perk or not. e.g. heavy swing with each weapon with 40 strength (40 strength while not wielding a weapon) versus heavy swing with each weapon with 35 strength (while not wielding a weapon). we could also extrapolate similar behavior for perk 3 as well. This would answer the question of is that 15% "worth it"?

I would also like to see the video as described by Jason. I would like to know how much the 30 perk adds and the 40 perk. Also, I do not have ability to go into admin mode so it is impossible to find these things out. thank you for doing these.

Aja bane gives extra 1 just because of the info story " lore" ..it says gives wielder incredible strength ,,so guessing funcom gave it extra 1 dmg to adhere to tht definition of gives wielder incredible strength....!! Once you know how the STR bonus is effecting your damage, it makes more sense. 1 STR = 2% damage. or x1.02 damage. so 5 STR is just "whatever damage" x 1.1, so Aja's Bane (with the damage mod) is 56 x 1.1=61.6 which is less than Tenderizer's 68. However sometimes it does matter, if two weapons are close in damage and one has strength, it can surpass it. Example, the Tenderizer having 68 (it was crafted with a Bladesmith in his example), and the Voidforged Mace having 66 (also Bladesmithed) but a +5 STR, gives the Voidforged around 72. The stat weapons generally have less damage then raw weapons, but you really just need to slam the numbers before you can say for sure. Can do it fast. if it has 4 STR, just do 4x2 to make 8, and that's the percent. so multiply the damage (after Bladesmith and mods) by 1.08 to get your damage. Keep in mind that in Siptah, this Raw>Stat rule of thumb isn't as transparent. Many stat based weapons are better than raw in that case. Most of the best weapons in the game with Siptah are because of the STR boost giving them just enough of an edge to come in first. The Feind-Bone Battleaxe has less damage than Foeshatter (Battleaxe) but Fiend-Bone is stronger due to the extra 10% damage from the 5 STR.

Your math is off on Axe of the Lion. 143 - 136 = 7dmg diff, same as Aja's Bane. So Crom's Hammer is the odd one out.

Imo Croms hammer outclasses Dragonbone hammer if you actually do a build around it with 40 str 20 agi 40 vit 30 grit 20 enc. With venomhide boots, pants, brute gloves n helm n commanders chest

I think the best benefit is a choice between a perk for strength or more health / more grit. Is strength doesnt matter that much for raw damage then the points might be best used somewhere else.

And this is why the old 4x damage multiplier on things like the relic seeker treasure hunters pre-nerf made them monstrous. The damage multiplier massively offset the points put in by strength by orders of magnitude and strength was never going to make up for it (It still doesn't)

My problem with the dragon bone weapons is durability and weight. As soon as you put those kits on the dragon bone weapons you cripple the amount of fighting you can do as well as carry capacity.

I think wak missed the point of why ppl favor the stat boost weapons... Its to get perks like the 40 or 50 str perk without having to put too many points into that stat.

I'm curious if this is the exact same on thralls as they have different damage multipliers than player characters. So exact same test with lets say a Siptah relic hunter treasure seeker (level 0).
