the feeling of the first time listening to a gem like this is undescribable. these songs have existed for decades and you just randomly discover them one day and will love them forever. you just never want to stop listening and wonder how you've never heard this combination of sounds for your entire life. I'm both sad I didn't live through the era where this was coming out of boxes and radio everywhere but I'm also so glad that I can enjoy the feeling of discovering these masterpieces by myself. hiphop lives forever

Born 1977, growing up listen to Boombap in the 90s was a blessing. Soo meny trax was fire back then, flow, scratching, beats/rhythm, bars, nothing get even close today. love to see them old music popup on KZbin. For me Hiphop went south around 2002 until today. I just listen to some of the new hiphop, but mostly Hiphop from 1988-2002, cant stop listen to the old stuff. Hands down for 'ONYX' that still grinding. and the rest of the 90s heads

Dope. First time I heard this was at a house party in Beunos Aires with my at the time GF, she's a folk musician there, makes good music. She knew the DJ and thought I would appreciate how she got down. Mainly spun Argentine music, but a wide range of genres. I think she put this one on for me, the one American there lol. Was always curious where/how she came across this record. I recognized it all these years later cause of Nine's verse on it. Memories...
