I watched this video a few weeks ago when I was at work, I had it on in the background but I ended up watching it 'properly'. The whole Silence Of The Lambs thing really had me laughing!! 😂😂😂

Breaking down an episode again and seeing it in a new light. Rewatching and enjoying it differently… I love how Shuttlebay 4 has got me back into basic grassroots episodic Star Trek fandom again. Watching and really loving it. I love how these are on KZbin as well. If I miss it or can’t be there - I can still enjoy it here. Love that.

The surprise for me is how I enjoy episodes of Star Trek differently now too, I appreciate things I perhaps wouldn't have before and I spend more time thinking about the episodes. Plus I find the conversations genuinely entertaining and I enjoy playing them back a few months later!

Great discussion on a weak episode! I look forward to watching more. Good points a oht Geordie being under utilised and nit really developed by the writers

Great episode, completely ruined Geordi for me. Funny as hell though. 😂

This is one of my main exhibits to prosecute Geordi La Forge for being one of the worst characters in Star Trek. I don't mean badly written, and I don't mean badly acted. I mean, the character that the writers devised is a bad person.💯

Back when I originally watched TNG I loved Geordi. I loved Bev Crusher too - but now I watch it I realise that neither character was really developed. And sadly, the little development Geordi did get was not good at all, if anything he'd be asked to undergo Starfleet's workplace training on how not to be a sexual predator!

@@harrypothead42024 I think it’s a juvenile episode with a juvenile B story. The way Laforge handles rejection and goes about looking for love is pretty much how a socially awkward teenage geek who can’t luck out behaves. In my opinion: This is a bit of a ‘moral lesson of the week’ aimed at 13 year olds. Laforge gets caught up in that and becomes a teenager who is struggling with his new puberty driven emotions. Admittedly not a good look for a grown man. But I won’t be too harsh on the character. My opinion of a ‘bad person’ lies a LONG way below this particular benchmark.
