Ron Chatman use to be my favorite skater in 5th grade when I seen him on Nickelodeon sk8 tv.

Yeah...I had his board. I remember him on sk8 tv doing one foot allies over the barrel on its side coming up the incline in a swmming pool.

I guess they had just started ATM Click at this time? I always thought it was strange that Gonz left bLind considering it was supposed to be “his” company under World/Rocco. I can never find any info on why he left other than “dissatisfaction.” It seems like Video Days was the beginning of the end instead of just the beginning of a special company. For sure bLind was still pretty great for a few years after that, but nothing compared to the Gonz/J. Lee era. It’s pretty sad. However, there never would have been Stereo had it not happened.

I believe this may have been 60/40 days, right before ATM Click

At least we have Krooked.

@@mc540flip I postive ATM Click came before 60/40. Gonz and Chatman originally started up ATM under Falahee in late '92 or early '93, but then quickly left to do 60/40 under Rich Metiver (Union Wheels, Color Skateboards, etc.). ATM still existed after that, but it wasn't anything like the brief Gonz/Chatman era. 60/40 also continued after Gonz left in 1996 (for Real/Deluxe), but it also was nothing like its early years. As for Gonz leaving bLind, I'm pretty sure it had something to do with him having a falling out with Rocco due to Ternasky starting up Plan B with World's backing/distro. Apparently Gonz didn't like Ternasky's "skate-coaching" approach or the H-Street vibe in general. "Steep tails and thick boards are seriously cut."

@@bennyshambles Yeah Blind was such an awesome new skate company in the beginning for a very short stint. Video Days will forever be one of the greatest skate videos of all time, top 5 even. Even the Blind logo and name itself was cutting edge (opposite of Vision). Was never the same after Jason Lee and Gonz left. But like you said, had Jason left we wouldnt have gotten Stereo which I loved.

Hmm subjective. I think Tom Penny has the best style of street skating and a lot would agree. But Penny's most influential skater would be Mark Gonzales so..

This is awhile before 60/40; Gonz had just quit bLind and Chatman was on MSG/Milk Skateboard Goods. Pretty soon after this is when they started ATM Click, then less than a year after is when they did 60/40. I know, it's a lot to keep up with.
