He himself is braiding the noose of his deeds - and tying it around his neck. He, right in the middle of the water, is dying of thirst. 3. Sachhā sabun lehī na murakh hai santan ke pāsā. (2) Dāg puranā chhutat nahī (2), dhovat bārah māsā. Jal bīch maratā piyāsā. (Refrain) The fool forgets to pick up the soap of truth - that wise men always use. The clothes have an ancient stain that won't go away - even by washing for twelve full months. He, in the middle of the water, is dying of thirst. 4. Ek rātī ko jorī lagāve, chhori diye bharī masā. (2) Kahe Kabīr suno bhāī sādho (2), āchhat annā upāsā. Jal bīch maratā piyāsā. (Refrain) He uses up all his strength for a mite - and gives up a thousand times more.
