At 8:50, good footage of the hydraulic that I think makes that section so dangerous. KE may have touched on this. There is micro eddy below, possibly a spot to set safety?

KARMA: "How many swim bells are we going to get for that one Pete!" 😂 No worries it happens to all kayakers at some point. I need to remember that myself so I'll push myself more, because there is undeniably a little shame with every swim. Love both you guys' channels, keep sending it. Maybe one day I'll paddle with y'all on some river.

It was awesome, don't feel so bad about my own swims now, can happen to anyone! That manoeuvre at 5.17 with the guy caught in tree, telling him to shift weight and lean on bow was genius!

Yeah it is a shallow ledge there alot of good kayakers have had their fair share of beatings there and the swims go for awhile in that spot not much you can really do…

That was the real deal. Well captured. Any paddler would be fortunate to have you running safety. It looked like no one was immune to the danger (except you). I can’t wait to see Pete’s video. He’ll probably say… ‘Unfortunately, my GoPro died before this…’.

Definitely not immune to it myself my last swim was pretty epic I got folded up inside a 13’ long boat at go left rapid I was sure I was a goner and I’m sure he will have a 3hour video breaking down everything from air temp to the under water rock formations why this happened 😂

I remember like it was yesterday, the first "everyone" release in 2005. Day long yard sale. Story goes they let out way too many CFS of water for the "Class IV" boater. Had several friends do the right thing and walk out. Ahh that day in '05!
