I heard that before rock and then never heard it again until the 2020’s. It’s still great! We had a piano and one of my sisters boy friends came over and started playing boogie woogie and blew me away. This was about 1950 .

This must have felt so fresh and exciting back then. There's a boogie woogie revival happening on KZbin led by Brendan Kavanagh, whose channel I'm sure has led countless young pianists to take up boogie woogie playing. There's lots of related boogie woogie channels now run by both young pianists and older ones who I very much suspect have had their popularity enhanced due to Brendan's channel exposing people to this style of music. I personally started taking a lot more interest in playing blues guitar because of the boogie woogie I've been exposed to on KZbin.

Whenever I'm depressed, which seemed to be a lot these past couple of years, I would put on the boogie woogie and in a few minutes all would be right with the world.

Before my Dad passed away he was one of the best pianists in the country. He played for the likes of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and many others. We played some gigs for different situations and this was a style he truly excelled at. I played guitar and two of my very best friends played bass and drums. We had a blast. I have not heard anyone play this style of music anywhere as close as Dad could until now. Just fantastic! Brings back some great memories for me but Dona Oxford, you are one talented musician.

We had a sax player in our band...one time while waiting for info on where to set up band...we were sitting in a foyer area where a baby grand piano was sitting...our sax player went over to it and started playing killer stuff as seen here. He was phenomenal! Blew us away! We of course went and bought him a keyboard...he was awesome on the sax too! That was the best band I ever played in...we stayed very busy too! 😁👍

Incredible! My fingers and wrists were sore just watching her! How she's able to sustain such intensity for 8.5 non-stop minutes is beyond me, but boy can she play! Просто люди делают своё дело и кайфуют от этого. Жаль что сейчас этого почти нет, можно даже сказать вообще нет. Так называемые ( кнопочники) заняли эту нишу и людям почему то нравится это. А люди которые действительно обладают талантом и живая музыка всегда будет живьём, страдают от этого.
