Watched this with my mom who’s 91… I could see her feel my dad’s presences. They always danced together. This made her cry but they were happy tears of memories she had! Thank you all!

No wonder the people in the old pictures looked so glamorous, skinny and fit! :D I bet most people nowadays don’t even have the condition to dance like this every Saturday evening anymore. It looks so fun and great!
@dannyc.jewell87885 жыл бұрын
When you dance you are burning energy fast,the last minute of a song can be an eternity as you start to feel your breath go ,part of it is keeping up with your partner,a lot of fun.
@SirensOfFire5 жыл бұрын
Glamorous, skinny, and fit - cars were not as common, so there was a lot more walking for commute. Also, the Great Depression.

There was also a world war and cultural pressure to be skinny. Most people wouldn’t even think about hiring a woman who wasn’t skinny and beautiful. But yes I agree with you

Right? How do 2K people watch this and think, "Nope, it's a downvote for me!" I get that the one woman's hair is cut in a degenerate style, but other than that, this ought to put a smile on anyone's face.

I'm assuming you are talking at like typical dance parties. Like if people danced with half as much energy, and as many funny exciting moves, it would be nice. If somone danced like this at a dance, people would stair at them like 'what the fuck are they doing? '

I enjoy watching these boogie woogie videos so much. I can picture my mother dancing with the sailors and soldiers at her hometown USO, and then again after she joined the WAVES and was stationed in Kansas. The stories she'd tell about the good fun they all had. They'd swing during Big Band Nights and polka during Polka Nights. Good times, she said, and I do believe that's how she and my father met. He was stationed at the same air station.
