I see those people walking by and I scratch my head and say, "How can they walk by?" Don't they get it?" If I was walking near there and I heard that music I would grab a cup of coffee at the nearest place and hang out next to the piano forever. I'd even maybe miss my flight because I would be in Heaven! Heaven, I tell you! Maybe us Boogie Woogie people are special or different or something. Maybe we're a special breed or a special family or something because when we hear that stuff (or play that stuff) we're so happy, and joyous and free! But I forgive those people because I'm like that with other things. You could have a great chef offer me something to eat, and I might say, "cool, that's tastes pretty good". And he and his colleagues would say, "What? Pretty good? That's all you can say? Why he just spent 4 hours baking in all that orange/hooly manoolie which is very rare, and all you can say is pretty good? And I'd be thinkin, "Man, a burger from MacDonalds would taste maybe a little better even right now." Why? Because I don't get it. So I don't blame those people. They are just as happy with listening to the Ray Coniff Singers. But in my humble opinion, what Theo is playing here is way up on top. Way, way up there. To me it is the coolest. It sounds so satisfying!
