It's the principle of it. Gamestop offered me $140 for my PSVR with controller and camera. They were selling just the used headsets for $480 at the time almost the same price as the new ones. Yeah fuck them they can go con other people. I get it, they have to pay an employee to clean it for two minutes, put it up on the wall, and then put a price tag on it. That's so much work and they need a difference of $360 for those reasons alone. The fucking pawn shop offered more than they did and I ended up selling it for $420 to a private party. I hope they go out of business so they can stop conning people who don't know better.

When something is used, very little of the sale goes to the developer and a lot more of the money goes to Gamestop itself as opposed to when they sell something new and a much larger chunk goes to the dev. That's why they crank up the used prices and why the employees are instructed to push used merchandise as hard as possible. I've heard horror stories about how they treat their employees as well. I generally avoid buying anything from the store unless I have to. Though their selection of gift cards for online services and Free-to-play games is often pretty good. Though I'm sure there's somebody at Gamestop HQ trying to figure out how they can sell people used gift cards.

they did this with ps2 games as well...final fantasy xii collectors edition as an example. i paid almost $100 new. i finished playing it and wanted to turn it in to get something else. they only wanted to give me $5 in cash or $7 in credit and this was only two months after game released. glad i didnt do it tho. gamestop is nothing more than a money hungry hooker that uses people for money and they dont even care about their customers. dont get why the crap company still exists. i miss eb games and babbages. at least they gave you a decent trade in amount. at eb i returned a copy of final fantasy x before. i paid $60 and they gave $45 back. hell if wasnt opened you got the whole amount back if had receipt. now i buy all my games on ebay, amazon and sometimes on craigslist if theres a decent collection someones selling

well a deluxe wii u has a trade value of $100 and most of the Nintendo games have about a $20+ trade value and the rest of the games about $5-10. you could probably get a switch console for all the wii u stuff he has. of course thats only like 50% of the value you could get selling it online yourself. trading at gamestop is a rip-off but its ok if you want a quick buck or get a new game

PerfectChaosZeta the thing that gets me is the buy prices are based on stock, more stock her less for the game...yet they still sell the game at the same price there were before regardless of stock. if your going to sell a game get the prices checked out 1st because honestly I'd rather break a disc than let them greedy barstewards make money. Still to this day don't understand the Wii U hate. Aside from it being low power compared to the others, I think I got more time and fun from it than my Ps4 and Xbox combined. What I'm mostly sad over is that there isn't any news on backwards compatibility. I would live to have my wind waker/twilight princess/Mario maker/SSB/DKC/XenobladeX/etc on the switch. Wii U had some of the best 1st party games the ever made since N64 and it kills me inside to know that they might just rot on a dead and unappreciated console. Oh well. I'll be picking up a switch when Splatoon 2 comes out later on in the year.

Am I the only Proud Wii U owner? Who stuck by the system even while being laughed at by everyone around him/her for the "stupid Big ass controller"?
