This was completely improvised from start to end,flying by the seat of my pants, LOL, so to speak.We worked the dynamics well in this one I thought.Got some nice harmonic feedback happening.And of course my favourite 78 strat,shame I can't bring it to the UK.Looking forward to more jamming next time :-)Actaully never thought folk would like this as much as they do,just goes to show you never can guess what will be popular in music!

I use to play and sing "Cult Of Personality",a bit tricky to play at first but has a great riff that dances around the drums in places time wise (Cult Of Personality).We should do one of theirs or even their version of "Talking loud and Saying nothing"(James Brown),great song and so relevant at the moment with all the fake news everywhere

GREAT sound guys, what did you record the audio recorded with?
@JohnCastellain8 жыл бұрын
+88MoreKeys .Thanks for the comment :-).The sound was recorded off a Zoom Q3, Ross Percy(BoogieMan Bar) also sent me camera footage with audio from a similar unit which I did,nt use as the other camera's audio was better.Nice to have two camera angles for later videos from the gig.I did use a DAW with high end plug-ins that made a huge difference.I was able to restore kick and bass frequencies with an exiter plug-in that replaces the sub harmonics that were missing, as well as peak limiting to tighten the whole sound up with only minimal loss of dynamic.I also deliberately used a thirty watt Marshall instead of a higher powered amp to keep stage levels down and as dynamic as possible to start with.Nat can play very quietly too, which helps keep volume under control.I have listened to other bands at the same venue and most have the stage volume to high to retain dynamic, which I guess comes down to experience. I have to say I love your keyboard work too, elements of 'Weather Report',Chick Corea,and control of dynamic!. Cheers :-) JC
