Boogies Trains at: Brent Cross West - 22 January, 2024

My first visit to the newest station on the Thameslink network. Many others have already reported from here. The purpose of my visit was to assess it as a spotting and photography location.
Like most stations it has some limitations on the views along the tracks but overall I think it is worth a visit. It does give a reasonable view of the freight loop and link to the Dudding Hill line. It might also be a good place to view the new Aurora units on the MML when they start regular workings.

Great Video, glad you came here! Lucky catch with the 153 too. What’s the deal with the fast line platforms? Can you access them or are they barriered off? Thanks

There are shutters on the concourse that close off access to the fast line platforms. They appear to be locked.

Will some of Thameslink trains from Bedford, Gatwick Airport and Brighton could stop at Brent Cross West from May this year.

Nice little video of a forgotten bit of railway. Nice looking station but sadly only designed for the traveller and not those that have an interest in the running of the trains. Well done 🤓 stay safe

The video quality is decent but starting to look a little dated, if it's not prohibitively expensive it might be worth investing in a 4K camera.

Wasn't aware that KZbin actually supports 4K. My camera does but the best quality I can upload is HD at 60fps. 4K really eats up disk capacity and battery power and few people view on a screen big enough for it to make a real difference. Main issue is available light when filming trains in the winter.
