7:10 I noticed that the stopper that terminates at Bromley south goes onto the up slow/up Victoria as soon as it leaves platform 2. Must be confusing to see a train go in the wrong direction after stopping at platform 2

The other day I heard a passenger asking a member of staff if she was sure that it was the Victoria train as it was going to go the wrong way. I guess regular travellers ill get used to it. The next train into platform 2 is the Thameslink to Orpington so passengers don't have too long to wait.

4:47 surprised that the Dover train was only four coaches. Is it more in the peak?

Peak trains are generally 7 or 8. Some off peak are also longer presumably more to do with getting stock into the correct locaions for the evening peak. We have to remember that Southeastern would prefer you to pay the premium and travel High Speed to St Pancras which is now the principal express service for anywhere east of Ebbsfleet.

3:20 do the Sevenoaks trains also go via Catford like the Orpington trains

Hi Dan. All the Thameslnk services provide a stopping service between Bromley South and Blackfriars via Catford. The Sevenoaks service became a through Thameslink service when the bay platforms at Blackfriars closed for rebuilding. I think that was around 2009. They have reverted to terminating at Blackfriars until more capacity is available through the core. No sure what the plan is as I heard the other day that the December timetable changes are probably scrapped. Too much potential political fallout if it went wrong.

What happened to 319s
@BoogiesTrains

Thameslink released the 319s in batches as soon as 700s became available to replace them. The first batches released were cascaded to Northern for the newly electrified lines around Manchester/Liverpool/Preston. Some of the later releases are being converted to bi-mode 769s. We will have to see how successful that is. In theory the 750v DC bus in the train makes it relatively simple to modify the power source. GW are looking at a tri-mode version for the Reading to Gatwick service. These will add a diesel electric option to the existing overhead and third rail. Many of the remainder are in store. Not sure where but probably Long Marston.

Meant to add that the 377s and 387 have also been cascaded away. Thameslink is a class 700 only railway. The only exception is that the stock for the Epsom service, which does not yet run through the core, is provided by Southern. You can see these in my recent film of trains at Penge West. The Thameslink services that are running out of the suburban platforms at Kings Cross are all 700s. I will upload a film of activity at Potters Bar in the next few days which will illustrate this.
