I made it to Worting Junction yesterday, with a bit of help from SWR. Results online in a few weeks. After being short of new material a few weeks ago, the better weather means I now have a sizeable backlog.

Excellent as ever. Can't remember if you've taken shots from the bridge at the south end of Norwood Jn (at 4:45). If not, you get some good views of Selhurst depot and the carriage washer - need something to stand on though, as the sidewalls are quite high to peer over.

The renewed bridge has high parapets but I did get some shots standing on the pedals of my bicycle.

You aced it again ! I love the long distance shots showing the movement of the trains, especially as they switch tracks. 9:52 If this down was going to West Croydon, then why didn't it switch directly to track 5 past this bridge, instead of waiting to take the turnout to Down Wallington south of the station ? Wouldn't that be less confusing for passengers ? Aarre Peltomaa

Southern and Thameslink which is operated by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) are to end the franchise on the 31st March this year. Will Southern operate separately and even could replace the Class 455 and Class 313 “Coastway” if they were to order new trains. Or maybe to inherit the Class 387 from Great Northern to be used on the suburban services. And the Class 377/3 3-Car to be cascaded to work on the West Coastway Line and East Coastway Line services.

It looks like the cascade involves the 377/5s leaving Southeastern and the 379s going to GN. Presumably the built-in 3rd rail capabilities of the 387s make them a good candidate for somewhere south of the river.
