They ruined Alicent on the show! Like they turned her into a Rhaenarya simp and it was so stupid! Even Olivia Cooke was pissed off and she did the best she could, and I commend her for it.

@@roselyngomez3271 Thank you for clearing that up. I honestly couldn't finish the season it got so bad. It's like they didn't bother talking about Rhaenys's death or the effect it had on Coryls or even Baela (the stuff with Baela and Jace *CARRIED* the season for me because I liked their little back and forth). Like they could've had Coryls take revenge or something, but they pushed everything to the side for this disgusting simp fanfiction. Honestly the best character this season was Baela for me because she actually steps up. I liked Alys because seeing Daemond getting mentally tortured after what he's done was enjoyable to watch. But yeah this whole season was a pitiful pathetic excuse by the writers to say: "Hey yeah we're sorry we pushed Daemond and Rhaenyra on you guys (a couple I don't ship because I don't support groomers in my house!) so here's two hours of simp and Tumblr porn. Also what was with the shit with Rhaenyra making out with the handmaid? I'm glad Olivia Cooke spoke out about this shit. Hell, Olivia Cooke tried this season and she still hasn't gotten her gold!

I am Team Black thru and thru, but I was always Team Alicent first. I am so sad and angry at how they destroyed her character. She was supposed to be strong and calculative, a victim who reclaimed her prison.

This is good! It shows that the tv version had the potential to tell a good story and remained book accurate but the writers decided to push their own story

the book has an unreliable narrator but agreed, book Alicent would NEVER slep with Cole. She even questioned if Cole was dangerous to Rhaenyra when she was younger.

​@@muellerfm3868yes....she didn't trust Criston saying he's a creep around teenage Rhaenyra and the princess must be kept under supervision. I think she still had maternal instincts towards Rhaenyra but, became bitter towards Rhaenyra later. She's very interesting in the books.
