Great haul !! I also have The Ill-Made Mute on my shelf. I picked it up from a second hand book shop a few years ago...but I haven't read it yet. My son has read the Runemarks series and loved it.i think it is slightly norse inspired....if I remember correctly what he told me about it. Enjoy your pile of loveliness! 📚 My most recent purchase was Unraveller by Francis Hardinge.

I've had The Bitterbynde trilogy for decades but haven't yet read it. I also have the first three books of the sequel series. I tried one of Sara Dougless' books several years ago but couldn't get into it. I unhauled the books.

I haven't read all of it but Bitch focuses more on the animal kingdom and how diverse and nonbinary it really is and how over the history of biology scientists (especially men) would try and force their own biases on the animals they were studying. Unruly sounds right up my alley, will have to check it out.

Yes I loved Zhara, 5 stars! I didn't like her other work, Wintersong, so much, 2 stars. Read Sorcery and Small Magics first! 🐸
