I am happy to hear the good news about your health challenges. Wishing you continued blessings and health💫 I took my time and re-read a few of Toni Morrison’s books this year. I re-read Sula, Jazz, Song of Solomon, and Love. I enjoyed the re-reads. Of course, I experienced the books differently as a more mature woman. I think you will enjoy Love. I have read quite a few books from watching your videos. Most of your recommendations are on par with what I enjoy reading 💜💜💜

New subscriber!! Stumbled upon your KZbin in search for high school reads for our 9th grader for this coming school year. I’m a homeschool mama and I am finishing curating her curriculum for her English honors class. So happy to have found your page- I refuse to have her read all the classics of this world so I am trying to gather black/hispanic/ and Native American classic reads. She loves historical fiction! If you or anyone else has any particular suggestions please let me know. Thank you!!

I’m going to post a video soon with YA reads but the first thing that popped into my head is What The River Knows by Isabel Ibanez. it’s a fun one but def could lead to a conversation about ethics around artifacts and museums. So other historical recs that aren’t YA but came to mind: The Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson The House of Eve by Sadeqa Johnson Black Cloud Rising by David Wright Falade Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins Valdez No Better Time by Sheila Williams
