Kenny, entertaining book haul as always. I would like to see you do a video on the rare or hard to find DAWs and the ones you are most looking to get. All best to you!

Hi Gary, always good to hear from you. Thanks very much. Yes, sounds like a good idea but the only problem is I would have to find a way to show some covers. Unfortunately I don't have a fancy setup with editing tools etc - just a one-take on a pad (incredibly high tech). But I'll certainly give it some thought. Take care.

Nice potted history of the Elric books Kenny. I bought all the recent hardbacks and they're on my TBR for this year. I'm a big fan of a lot of Moorcock's work - especially the Eternal Champion books. Last year I managed to pick up 7 of the 14 Tales of the Eternal Champion volumes that Millennium did in absolutely mint unread condition (plastic wrapped too). Jack Gaughan has become a favourite artist over the last couple of years. I'm more and more impressed by your DAW obsession - I don't know how you do it 🙂. Good job in getting the Vance ones. I think I have around half-a-dozen of them including that 3-in-1 and the Wyst novel. Envious of the Brunner & Leiber. When you've completed the series I think I'll employ you to help complete my collection. Celebrated by 66th birthday with a trip to Carlisle where, along with a number of vinyl records, I managed to pick up around 15 books - nothing particularly exciting - a number of authors who I've never heard of, but most of the books are from the 60s. All the best... Peter

Hi Peter. Yes the Elric publication history is a right old mess. Even makes an overview quite difficult. I love the old action tales involving Stormbringer but not so keen on the more recent stuff. With some difficulty I managed to pick up all the Orion hardbacks but the first Elric volume was a total pain in the backside. There's a vid on the channel somewhere. I just love that Eyes of the Overworld cover and a nearly mint copy of that was a real bonus. Some of Jack Gaughan's covers are a bit uninspired but when he's on form he is right up there. Sadly lived in the shadow of Roy Krenkel and Kelly Freas among others. As I said on vid the DAW project has become a life's work now (I wonder if anybody in the UK has a complete set). Must admit I'm running out of options for bulk buys now so it's the misery of single copies on Ebay for me . . .the postage - sigh. Every new book seems like a great success now - good fun though. The Simak and Piserchia titles seem unusually scarce and don't even mention the 3 Strugatskys books. 40 quid for the only one available 😯. A belated happy birthday and 15 titles from the 60s are not to be sniffed at mate. These trips of yours seem to turn up more books than vinyl 🤣. Anyway take care, talk to you soon. Kenny.

Even us fanatical collectors have stories of selling stuff we regret. Don't feel too bad about it.😊

Very dissapointing that these books never get reprinted. So much classic fantasy that ill never get to read. At least elric and conan are still printed.

Yes sadly the lesser known characters you cannot find these days. It's worth trying to track down the older books because of the great covers.

"The Sleeping Sorceress" was the first Michael Moorcock novel I read. "The Houses of Iszm" is very good, but didn't like "A Spectre is Haunting Texas"

I forget the first Elric I read but it wasn't long before I managed to find all the 1970s books. I've not read the two books you mentioned.
