I hate when people tell me that ‘books are dying. No ones gonna read them in the future’. Like what is more relaxing and nice than reading a nice book

I already want another one of these videos. I always loved the part in your monthly favorites videos when you brought up books you’ve been loving and always looked into them after. I could listen to people talk about books for hours. I also generally really like hearing your opinion on literally everything!

I LOVED this video. You can see and hear the passion in her voice and eyes! It's so cool to see a KZbinr with an actual tangible and intelligent view on the world. I would literally read all of these books! This was so much better than a makeup tutorial or a skincare routine (not that those aren't always flawless with Ingrid) but a departure that truly showed something Ingrid loved! Your videos call me down and make me feel inspired in a world where I sometimes feel so hopeless. Thank you!

And I just cracked the spine on What Happened by Hillary last night and I started crying in the foreward and read her quotes and passages to my husband, especially the Harriet Tubman quotes. Dream of a Common Language made me cry so many times at night. It's so sweet. I actually found it on Kindle and that was the only way I could find it, so glad you found a hard copy. I have a hard time connecting with poetry but totally connected to Adrienne Rich in Dream of a Common Language. It gave me a way to connect to my first love (who was a woman). Also, I'm reading What Happened as well. I cried just a few chapters in. It's so emotional. But I just feel like the more I read it, the more HRC is right there with me.

Hey Ingrid! 💕 I'm literally studying English and definitely have some favourites! Because I'm Canadian I thought I'd talk about my favourite Canadian authors. 😊 "The lives of girls and women" by Alice Munro is a group a short stories which deal a lot with female and the different experiences thoughts and beliefs we are raised with. Also "In the skin of a lion" by Michael Ondaatje is literally the most beautifully written book I have ever read an really focuses on the immigrant experience and identity. And then there's "The Handmaids Tale" which I feel like you've probably read but this book just makes you feel things as a women that are like no other. Love you so much!!!😄💖❤️

Hey Ingrid ! I recently read the book “The lies we tell ourselves “ I really enjoyed that book. It’s about loving the same gender and equality and races. Here’s what’s about : In 1959 Virginia, the lives of two girls on opposite sides of the battle for civil rights will be changed forever. Sarah Dunbar is one of the first black students to attend the previously all-white Jefferson High School. An honors student at her old school, she is put into remedial classes, spit on and tormented daily. Linda Hairston is the daughter of one of the town's most vocal opponents of school integration. She has been taught all her life that the races should be kept separate but equal. Forced to work together on a school project, Sarah and Linda must confront harsh truths about race, power and how they really feel about one another.
