I read the Fever series several years ago. I think I'm two or three books behind at this point. I probably need to start again and just binge them at some point. I read Snow Falling on Cedars back when it first came out and I honestly don't remember a lot about it. The Lady's Formula for Love sounds so cute! I'm also intrigued by those two books you were sent. FYI: love your shirt.

I know you have a million and one books to read but The Heaviness of Things That Float by Jennifer Manuel is AMAZING. Both of my books clubs (yup, I'm a nerd) LOVED the book. Again, not an easy read, but so beautifully written about a Native American community. It is fiction but it is well researched and is haunting.

Hi! I started watching your channel last month after watching a few unboxings and realizing we have very similar tastes in books. First, thank you so much for doing this! Second I have a recommendation for a manga if you ever see it. It’s Mars by Fuyumi Soryo. It follows high schoolers with a main pairing between Rei and Kira but deals with some heavy stuff (suicide, rape, etc) in the later books. The artwork is beautiful and it’s still in of my favorites.

I read Snow Falling on Cedars, but over 20 years ago in college. I don't remember much about it, but I know I didn't hate it. I also read at the same time, Things Fall Apart by Achebe, which I remember enjoying as well. Historical romance author...well, she doesn't do a lot of it, but has at least one series, is Katie Macalister. Trouble with Harry is the first, if I remember correctly. Love her writing, though I think you'd love A Hard Day's Knight or any of her Dark Ones series!

Snow Falling on Cedars was required reading at my college, it's definitely well worth the read, the setting of the pacific northwest is almost a character on it's own because it is so well described. I think that doesn't work for everyone because it spends a lot of time on quiet place setting. The movie is pretty good as well.

You should read Psy Changeling series by Nalini Singh. It's considered paranormal romance but to me, it's more urban fantasy romance. It is episodic in the sense that every book centers around a different couple but the world and the overarching plot (or plots, we are in the second big arc of the world ) are magnificent. There is a lot of political maneuvering. One thing to have in mind, there are 19 books in the series right now (number 20 comes out this summer) I didn't love the first book but kept pushing because people said that book 3 was the game changer and they were right (books 1 and 2 are ok just not my favorites). If after book three you are not hooked then it's not a series for you. I really think that you will love it. (sorry for any mistake, English is not my first language)

I tried reading the Karen Marie Moning book and had to DNF halfway through I wanted to punch the male protag in the throat not a good thing in a romance novel.
