This has been my favorite one so far! I love the way you explained that Paul used his imprisonment to further the gospel by writing his letters. During this time of shelter- in- place during the Covid shut down, how many times did I use isolation as an excuse not to be productive? Yes, I journaled a lot, but how much more could I have done with my thoughts fixed on my savior and not my circumstances. Beautifully done. Great video.

All people die, it is either we die for the world or for our faith. Which is better option? the world we live in is full of sin. In the Book of Genesis, when Even and Adam listened to Satan and ate the forbidden, sin came to the world and death came to humans. Human body is made of dust, and its soul came from God, as He breathed into its nostrils it became a living being, an immortal being- free from pain and suffering. Because of the downfall of humanity, people have to struggle to live- toil the ground and die. God wants people to be saved from eternal death, He gave us his son, Lord Jesus Christ, who redeem us from sin and gave us everlasting life.

If Jesus will for my life is to die/persecuted(physical body) because of him ,than Amen. My main focus is to die everyday as I disregard my own sinful self so that he may live within me and his spirit may guide me .Either way Jesus is worth it. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, But Christ lives in me.

Aren't Christians supposed to live by truth and not believe fake and false history???? Ancient Greece????? The name Greece was never heard of before it was liberated in 1821 from the turks and then it was given the name Greece. In bible and Roman times Greece was called "achaia" Macedonia and Greece/achaia were neighbors and mentioned separately. Acts chapter 16 Paul was called to Macedonia. Then he travels down to Greece/Achaia. Philipi, berea, thessalonica.. were in Macedonia Corinth and Athens were in Greece/achaia Acts chapter 20 Paul goes through Macedonia and Greece and then back through Macedonia. Macedonia and Greece have always been separate nations. Acts chapter 20: Through Macedonia and Greece 20 When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said goodbye and set out for Macedonia. 2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, 3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.
@WatchmanofMKDN6 жыл бұрын
ACHU 03 im saying that the truth is shown in the bible, that Macedonia and Greece are 2 separate nations and lands, and Macedonians were not Greek but 2 separate people, and Macedonia should not be mentioned as part of Greece. As Christians we should speak the truth and not be pressured or follow the political or national agendas of certain country’s. Are you aware that when Daniel wrote his book, in the Hebrew language, he never wrote Alexander as the king of Greece??? But wrote “the king of Javan” and yet now in English translations it says “the king of Greece” People go even as low as to use the bible to change history and claim it for themselves!! In the book of Jasher, a book referenced in the books of Joshua and Samuel, in Jasher chapter 10 verse 13 it say; “And the children of Javan are the Javanim who dwell in the land of makedonia” Javan is the father of the Macedonians, not the Greeks.

@sodium2814 жыл бұрын
A. Vidhya Hi, I am not sure who you were referring to from the comments, but I am certain the moral law, aka the ten commandments will be stand forever (Matt 24:35). Which means the weekly sabbath ought to be kept if we are to be considered as God's people because it is a reminder to us of God's marvelous creation of the universe we inhabit. Yet there are other sabbaths in the ceremonial laws passed onto Moses and written in the torah. Those ceremonial sabbaths are traditions which are cultural indications of being a Jew. As mentioned in the video, followers of Jesus are not restricted by ethnicity, so keeping ceremonial sabbaths are unnecessary. I hope this helps and wish you a happy sabbath =]

ISAIAH 44 - ACTS “I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” (Isaiah 44:22) WORDS BY: JESUS "What do you do with the new life I have given you? Do you walk in the new creation man as Paul did leaving your old life behind, or do you go back to the life you were living? Let Me tell you something about discipleship. A disciple, when he is converted, will put away all old things and walk according to 2 Corinthians 5:17. There are two conversions in a Christian’s life. The first is salvation and the second is being renewed day by day into Galatians 2:20. This conversion is rather gradual and is based upon the believer’s maturity and growth. Some may not even desire this and are content just to remain at a salvation level, for there are parts of their life they don’t want to let go. But I do not want converts. I am seeking opportunities to make disciples, and I can only do so if you are truly seeking Me as Paul was, because when he converted, his old life was done away with thus the new had come. Can the same be said about My bride? When people only use the cross partially for salvation’s sake, they will never experience the fullness of restoration. You will lack so much of what you could accomplish if you used the cross to the fullness of what it was intended for. Paul lived a filled life. Had he chosen to settle for salvation only, then where would two thirds of the New Testament be? How much can you accomplish living a full life in Me? The possibilities are endless. So know that when I saved you, you have an opportunity to increase far and beyond what you now know. Settle it in your heart that you will forsake your old life and pursuer those things from above and you will set yourself on a journey that will be remembered. This will be your greatest act."

Good work, I like it. I do however feel it sort of glosses over one important repeated theme. On Paul's missionary missions, there was a cycle of 1) Evangelizing strategic cities, 2) Establishing the people in the teaching, and 3) Entrusting the churches to key leaders. This lays the foundation for how Apostolic leaders are to be sent from churches to do the same thing today. Maybe you felt like this wasn't crucial enough to the book's overall intention to dedicate video time to, but I thought I would mention it. Thanks!

I enjoy watching the Bible Project Videos but something stirs me the wrong way. I am not a pastor, but I am completely a believer and my focus has been on Acts to read with simplicity and with truth and here is what Acts 17:24-25 says, “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” So here is my question, why do we place so much importance on church (the building)?? I researched what church exactly meant and in Greek, church was Ecclesia (ECC-Out/KALEO-Call) so the true definition of church has nothing to do with a building but with a called out group of people which I believe are those who hear the call of Jesus and turn from their old ways and minds to believing❤️🙏🏽

Great stuff! One bit of constructive criticism: Two things it's lacking though - the role of the Holy Spirit in directing the mission of evangelism. One other thing it's lacking, which is so key and apparent in the book of Acts and this is another one of Luke's themes: the immersions in water in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:5, Acts 22:16). The visual of that would have made the video even more powerful.
