Maybe you guys didn't catch it, but they sent Fennec to take out the leadership. That's why she left when the Mod Squad, Krssanten, and the Gamorians were attacked. The fighting was happening in Mos Espa, but the leaders themselves (Pike Syndicate leader, The Mayor, 3 Family leaders of Mos Espa) they were all in Mos Eisley which was another town some distance away. Hence why Boba asked Fennec "Can you make" and why it took so long for her to get there. And did you guys notice the change in the end music lyrics?

It's the same thing as when Suraj said the thing about Grogu's name and about Cad Bane calling Boba "soft" is a proxy for the fans. For some people, character development is not allowed in the Star Wars universe, and neither apparently is giving a character an actual, believable name, instead of just a cute nickname. They can't stand that his birth name isn't actually Baby Yoda. Which the showrunners said is still totally fine to call him btw. People just have to find things to complain about.

We DID see Boba give Fennec the order.... just before the battle started he sent her off to Mos Eisley. I had the same feelings, there was absolutely no reason for Mando and Grogu’s story to be shoehorned into this show. It’s like Disney is too afraid to take risks and let Boba stand on his own. He and Fennec deserved a better story and show.

I definitely agree with the take that we should have had more time with Mando and Grogu separated. And also that it’s seems pretty clear that they’re waking back their separation, which is kind of disappointing. Now when we get back into the mandalorian S3, grogu’s all of a sudden gonna be back and anyone that only tunes into Mando is gonna be asking “…what?”. They could explain a new ship in a single line and even Din getting excommunicated, but now the transition between S2-3 is gonna seem super jarring. It’s a shame too because the biggest weakness of Mando S3 might be something that’s not even the fault of its own show.

Looks like we're adding Grogu to the side of using the Force that's good with animals..... but maybe still except for Anakin cause I think he did that connection trick only that 1 time (and I loved that before reuniting with Mando, the 1st thing Grogu did was eating poop worms 🤣)

It’s getting harder and harder to watch your reactions guys. You’re so negative, suraj especially. Critical analysis is awesome, but you guys are just bitchy and there’s no depth or knowledge to your discussions. It’s cool to not like things, not everything is for everyone but why not talk about the things you like instead of making bitchy comments during reactions to try and be funny. Not everyone can be abed watching bad movies, which it feels like that’s what you’re going for. People watch reactions to get the same feeling of sharing something they love with a friend. You guys being constantly negative makes it so much less fun to watch. I’m sure there’s parts you love so it would be nice to talk about those things. I think you’re mistaking critical analysis for criticism. You guys should take a leaf out of Rana’s, Navi’s and blind waves book. Just be positive, it’s more fun to watch. And your criticism is often without any thought or understanding. Because it’s a Disney show nobody got killed by those robots. What a stupid thing to say when the mayor was hung and Bane was stabbed and in the last episode Garza was killed by a terrorist explosion and cobb and his deputy were killed. You seem to just want to be bitchy for the sake of it. And when you don’t know what you’re talking about, Star Wars not being an area of expertise for any of you, it’s really cringey when you talk like you know what you’re talking about. I like your channel and I’m only saying this because I want to keep watching, but you’re making it difficult. And I hope you don’t take it personally. I don’t think you guys are bad people or anything, you’re all lovely, I just think your presenting style could use some introspection.

I agree with all the critism you guys had for this finale and show, I just might not be as mad about it as you guys seem to be. Yeah, there was a lot of potential with all these characters and stories, but it felt like they just scratched the surface of each one and then moved on without really building anything up. Like they had a ton of ideas but no time to fully explore any of them. And yeah it was apparently said by the creators that this was Mando 2.5, but that kind of makes it worse in that it just doesn't give Boba his full due as a character everyone was so excited to finally see have his own show. And the creators had to know that's what people wanted, right? Overall I enjoyed it but I didn't understand most of the narrative and structural choices.

I thought Cad Bane looked fine, but then I've never seen the other stuff where he was introduced, so maybe that's why. Really, he's one of the few things that seemed to work well here (and the Rancor was mostly pretty good, also). The cyber replacements on the street gang, though, continues to look just laughably bad in every single shot it appears. WHY do that if you can't do it well? Would it really have been so hard to give her a Winter Soldier arm, something that's got some sleekness and a suggestion of musculature in the design so that it seems like it might actually be some kind of upgrade over a natural arm? And eye guy----wow, he's got x8 telescopic zoom; great for spotting the guy on the rooftop right THERE. Even their guns look so pathetic. I honestly just don't even get the production design on this show. They know how to do better at this, we've SEEN them do better than this, but here we are even so.

I actually enjoyed the show, that being said there's still so much they can imrprove! They decided to retire Badass Boba after the Mando s2 finale so they can give us crime lord Boba ... unfortunately that's not who we got, Boba didn't have any idea how to be a crime lord, Fennec did everything and made most of the calls. A Boba Fett running an actual CRIME syndicat would have been great, but I guess he's more like a sheriff now. The mod gang was just weird. The first time I saw them they immediately reminden me of Spy Kids, there bikes are so ridiculous! But they can actually be improved pretty easily. Make them dirtier, Tattooine is dirty af and there bikes are brighter than the two suns. Give them real speeder biked and make them look cool and modified but dirty, make them like young streetgangster, with a bit of a temper, so Boba can teach them calmess and strategic thinking. Oh and maybe let them use their modifications? I mean why have them if they don't do shit with that. Unfortunately the best work Rober Rodriguez did was on Mando s2, if there's a second Boba season I hope that he won't direct, let Bryce Dallas Howard and Steph Greene direct more episodes. Robert Rodriguez is cool and a great director but I guess Star Wars just isn't for him.

They didn't just fail to really make him a crime lord, they tried way too hard to make him into too much of a noble, honorable hero and leader, putting the needs of other people (the people of Mos Espa, no less, a town he doesn't really have any ties to that would justify this) before his own. That goes up against pretty much everything Boba Fett should be. And they constantly had him talk and take his helmet off... the mystique is what made him great in the first place in TESB, this menacing, faceless threat of an armorclad badass.
@Martinbumms
@Martinbumms 2 жыл бұрын
@@shadowcat1606 it's totally fine to change Boba, if he becomes a crime lord he needs to be more of a leader, more of a Teamplayer. If his years with the Tusken taught him that you need a inner circle you can trust and be close with, he should do that, that's great. But the show made it look like he was like that right away, without any character development he became, as you put it, a noble hero. I'm fine with him not being the lonesome badass anymore if they show me why, but this show was a bit of a mess and they failed to show that character development. We'll see what's coming next for him, maybe Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni turn it around

You need to understand something if you don't see the body at a funeral with a head on a pike they aint dead yet. Fennec survived worse. Cobb Vanth did too ( He is in the tank now). Cad Bane Only got stabbed in the gut. If you pay close attention you can see that his vest is actively doing something now, I am betting it's a first aid function to save his life and a beacon to summon T0D0. He has always always got a back door and the escape route available.

I hope that his book isn't finished yet, because there's a lot of plot points or future ones, that have yet to be touched upon 🤔. Like the water monger, Lortha Peele, the fact that the Pykes were the ones who killed Boba's Tusken family, and the little known fact (now touched upon)that, Tatooine wasn't always the desert planet it is today, and even though it is, it still has ice caps on its polar regions that no one has even visited 🤔.

I feel like all the reactors are missing the point. There is the family you're born to, raised in, trained in and then the family values you decide to accept. It was absolutely necessary for Bobba to kill Cad Bane with the tool given to him by the family whose values he learned to love and reject Cad Banes selfish nihilism. It was also necessary for Luke to respect the love between Grogu and Mando by giving him a choice. Grogu may live for a thousand years and decide to spend the limited time Mando has with him. And expecting more realism is a SW show?? (since when could any of the troopers hit anything...lolol) This franchise has always been geared for kids - not the grown up kids watching now ripping it to shreds for it's lack of 'realism'.

So im sure itll be pointed out, but Fennec was there to do the murder because thats what she meant by "going after central". When she left on the bike. Made a quick save for the Mods and then went on to Eisley. I assume it happens at the end to show progress of time. I totally agree with Chris that more mobster style cinema wouldve been nice, though im still not totally sold on benevolent boss Boba. Still, enjoyed the show quite well, but basically its Mando s3, with a neat name.

I rewatched the show recently and honestly, this is the only episode I dislike. Episode was 100% an episode of Mandalorian, but I felt it was justified. Book of Boba Fett was a spinoff of The Mandalorian, and since Boba was involved in that show, it made sense for Mando to be involved in this. And just showing where he's at since the S2 finale the entire episode makes sense. I understand it, and so I don't fault the episode for not having Boba Fett at all. Episode 6 I'm indifferent to. Supposedly Favreau and Filoni didn't want to bring back Grogu for a while, so everyone assumes the choice was made by Disney higher ups. But even so, while I feel much of the episode feels out of place in the show, I not only like all of it, but also think there was still enough development in the first four episodes for a solid finale despite the two episode detour. And, also, without Disney's Grogu intervention, I'm not sure Mando S3 would be what it is, and it's my favorite season of Mando, so I can tolerate what episode 6 represents. It's really just the finale. It feels like a two parter that was rushed and didn't have enough development on the conflict or stakes, but also that settled the stakes way too soon. So they then added another 20 minutes for the droids and the rancor to make it longer and add in some tension that ultimately doesn't work. The pacing of the episode is all over the place, the dialogue feels like a first pass (as does all the writing) past a certain point in the episode, and the moments between Din and Grogu are forced into high tension moments that feel at odds with the episode and the series. If I were to do the finale myself while keeping the story of the show the same (because I like the story of the show), it would be as follows. - Make it a two parter. - Save the Din and Grogu reunion until the end of the second part. - Add a scene or two eveloping the Mods' care for the people of Mos Espa. - Show the Mods and Krrsantan fighting back against the traitors rather than showing it all off screen. - Have the Mods and Krrsantan present when the Pykes attack ambush Boba and Din, making for a much cooler fight, but also showing just how outnumbered they are. - Have Boba injured in the ambush before the people of Freetown arrive to help stave off the Pykes. - Bring Boba to the bacta tank again to get flashbacks to Boba's younger days of the unfinished Clone Wars arc that would show how he aquired his armor, how the helmet was dented, and that would develop much of his and Cad Bane's relationship and help raise the stakes for their final standoff. - If the droids are necessary, then once Boba recovers, have him reunite with his forces in the Sanctuary remains planning a final strike on the Pyke leadership before they are interrupted by the droids. - Have Boba leave immediately to get the Rancor (because we need to have him ride the Rancor), but have him shot out of the sky by Cad Bane. - Now, with their past established, the standoff is more tense. And the fight can go one of two ways. Either a simple western shoot out, or an extended fight sequence utilizing every gadget they have on their person. Once Boba wins the fight, have him take Cad's rocket boots and fly off to the palace to get the rancor. - Intercut between Mando, Fennec, and Krrsantan fighting one droid, and the Mods and the people of Freetown facing the other. - Once the stakes are raised, bring in Boba on the rancor to help Din, Fennec, and Krrsantan. - Continue the second droid fight before eventually having the onslaught of Din, Fennec, Krrsantan, and Boba on the rancor come in and wreck shop. - Then have Din, Fennec, and Boba go take out the mayor and the Pyke leadership, with Boba brutally killing the Pyke to avenge the Tuskens. - Have Din and Boba go their separate ways before wrapping up Boba's story, showing Cobb in the bacta tank, and showing the reunion between Din and Grogu in Mos Eisley along with Peli. This version of the finale will not only keep many of the same beats, but also removes the unnecessary Din and Grogu moments, the unnecessary rancor fight, strengthens the stakes and tension, develops the Mods, and shows Boba and Cad Bane's relationship. In addition, it doesn't require any changes to be made to Mando season 3. Edit: While I don't like the finale, and actually think it's pretty bad, I not only love the rest of the episodes, but prefer the Boba episodes to the Mando episode and the general Star Wars episode. Definitely a hot take, I know. And, if not for the finale being as bad as it is, I would actually like this show more than Mando as it has actual substance to it, whereas Mando is just a bunch of fun adventures. Which I like, but I definitely want more than just fun adventures. Edit 2: I saw the Cad Bane "fix" when it came out, and I have to say it was retarded. I can understand wanting The Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother in Kenobi to look more like they did in Rebels, but I don't get it wirh Cad Bane. I mean, 1. Dooku looked insane in Clone Wars and nothing like Christopher Lee. But 2. Cad Bane is supposed to be roughly 3 decades older here. It wouldn't make sense for him to have the same shade of blue, less wrinkles, and to have the same facial structure he had when he was 30 years younger. Maybe the face shape itseld could've been adjusted a bit, but I also didn't mind what we got because he still like great. The washed out blue, the wrinkles, the less defined and more pudgy face shape... I love it all. And I much prefer it to the fix. The fix looks visually better, sure, but that's the precise reason it's worse.

27:16 Marketa 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Killing Cad Bane especially without him even using his jet boots is lame. Would’ve been cool to see his droid Todo as well. Idk what all Jango and Boba did in the comics but for me Cad Bane is THE legend status bounty hunter. Perhaps they will give Cad Bane’s equipment to Cobb Vanth when they bring him back. This lets you get a Cad Bane like character without the cost in makeup/effects and without the suspension of disbelief regarding Cad Banes age. I could totally see Timothy Olyphant doing Cad Bane moves.

I don't think it was QUITE a filler, but I don't begrudge that idea even if they were up front from the beginning this was basically Mando season 2.5. In effect, it should have been season 3 but there seemed to have been behind the scene scheduling issues, especially with Pedro Pascal doing Last of Us for HBO and the pandemic. It *does* set up Boba and Fennec as benevolent dictators of Tatooine with a cool crew (I totally ship the head mod lady and the lady from Freetown, from rivals to more, bonding over danger!), and sets up some cool potential underworld/syndicate plots in the future as well as them helping in the major future crossovers. Maybe Cobb's show will replace Rangers of the New Republic? Though I was disappointed by the lack of gaffi master (guess she is dead?) or really any Tuskens. I can't help but think of the Family Guy Spiderman "you only get one" when Fennec saves the Mods and then flips away. So good. Plus notice when Fett let's her do Fennec things people JUST DIE. Same thing with e4 liberating Slave 1. As to Bane, I originally thought the beeping was a bomb with a death switch. Would have been appropriate I feel and I wonder if that was the original plan. But I think it would cheapen his death, considering the obviously now alluded to soft canon of their duel in the unused Clone Wars arc? I wouldn't be sad to see him again but I don't want to past this point, maybe a slightly younger version in Obi-Wan or Andor or Lando shows?

I'm just recently getting into these shows so I don't really know anything but... I think someone from these reactions said something about the plan (maybe) was that this Boba Fett show was supposed to be concurrent with season 3 of Mandalorian? But that that was delayed and they decided to go ahead with this first? So maybe, it wasn't really that they (the creators or whoever) did not have enough faith in themselves. Instead, it's more just that they had no choice but to include the Mando-centric and Grogu/Jedi-focused episodes within this show (instead of in the Mando show) because if they didn't, they'd have a harder time explaining why they are here in this finale and all that. (Or the viewers will be confused or have questions.) And they needed to get those boxes checked (I think this was the term one of you used (Spidey?)) before this last episode of Boba Fett came out. Maybe the original plan was to have episode 5&6 here as episodes 1&2 of Mandalorian s3, and have those come out before this finale of boba fett which would have been episode 5. Idk.

Never been a Boba Fett fan. Never even liked him, really. The only thing he had going for him was his character design. He barely talked. Be barely did anything. Sure he tracked Han down, but then he called the Empire and yeah, of course Han will be captured after that, so he can't really take credit for it. The only thing he did was look cool. So when they announced this series, I was like, "meh". And was unsurprised when I found the first few episodes to be mediocre. The things I did enjoy of Boba's story were mostly in the events that happened in the past: escaping the sarlacc, being rescued by and living with the Tuskens, finding and saving Fennec. The "present" stuff was mostly boring as $#!&. The whole gangster/mafia schtick has never been something that interested me. Maybe if they gave more of a motivation for it, but they didn't. They had so many episodes to make Boba interesting, but to me, they failed. I liked his cameo in the Mandalorian, because finally we get to see him do something to earn the reputation that he's had for so many years. Then they gave this show and...yeah. It's kinda sad. I was unsurprised by my reaction, but also disappointed. I wanted to enjoy it and find something meaningful to Boba Fett's character. The only meaning I found in his character were in the parts I enjoyed, which was the "past" events as I said. His actions in the "present" gave me no clear motivation to his character. Sorry for the rant. I just really wanted to get this out of me. I didn't completely hate the series. As I said, there were some things I enjoyed about Boba Fett's story, but it's very sad that I was more interested in the other characters. Fennec Shand, Black Krrsantan, Cad Bane. Hell, I even wanted to know more about that cheesy biker gang. And then there were the characters who I consider part of the Mandalorian. Din Djarin, Grogu, Cobb Vanth, and Peli Motto. They gave those characters more motivation in 2 episodes than Boba was given. My favorite episodes of the series, the ones I can say that I liked, had very little to do with him. Din Djarin and Grogu have more value to me because they've given me reason to value their story. They had Boba Fett doing all of this, but never showed me why. For the past stuff, it made sense. Tuskens saved/capture him > he helps Tuskens > Tuskens accept him as family > Tuskens murdered > seeks revenge > gets "revenge" > decides to become crime boss. See, I'm all for it until that last part. Like, wait. What? How did you get to that? That's what I needed. Like, if he had discovered that it was the Pyke Syndicate who really killed the Tuskens and then he decides to take over to get revenge and keep it from happening again to others, that would have at least been something to see where he was going. I don't know if I missed it, but I'm pretty sure I watched pretty closely and still didn't get that answer, so if someone can please explain it, perhaps I might find the series more interesting. Again, my apologies for going on and on. To those who like Boba Fett and this series, I'm glad you found something in it for you, and I hope they do make another season, because I really would like another chance to find Boba Fett worth watching.

I think the show was boring as hell until Mando showed up not going to lie. I thought the stuff with him earning the respect of the Tusken Raiders and the lizard and all that was really interesting…..HOWEVER literally everything else I watched and enjoyed somewhat but I did find myself thinking hmm I kind of dont care about any of these characters except for Fennec and I don’t care about this storyline with him being the new Daimyo and the conflict with the mystery enemy which was revealed to be the super unimposing Pykes. But I officially was entertained once Boba Fett was barely even in the show. I think the character Boba Fett can carry his own show…however I just think that the writing needs to be better. Sure there was some interesting stuff but to me the beginning of the show was boring as heck. Though I did find him becoming a part of the Tusken Raiders family cool to learn about and watch. I definitely agree that they kind of threw everything at the wall these last few episodes which sort of helped the show the previous two episodes but also hurt the show in this finale. Overall…will I watch this again. Probably not. Am I walking away feeling the same way about any of these characters the way I do about Mando and Grogu…nope not really. Will I give a season 2 a shot…probably it just depends on if they are going to rehash the same old same old….with yet another power struggle storyline. If that is the case I’ll probably still put it on but not really be invested to watch every week. I don’t want to sound like I hated it or that I thought it was terrible…that isn’t the case. I just feel like they missed the mark a lot of the time. I mean they missed the opportunity for Tusken Raiders show up later on to get their revenge, they missed the opportunity to give us more of a characters many viewers found to be intriguing with Black Krrsantan and Madame Twi’lek, the missed MANY opportunities to make Boba a bad ass, etc etc etc. I think it definitely was wayyyyy below Mando seasons 1 & 2….but things like that train heist episode of the previous 2 episodes when Boba didn’t even appear or have lines if he did have 2 seconds of screen time. So I think it was a mixed bag of a lot good, a lot of opportunity for future cool moments, etc BUT also a lot of bad too which I won’t continue to go on about since this comment is overall fairly negative compared to how I normally like to discuss shows. I will say it was still better than 80% of what is on TV and streaming these days though.

To be honest, the I found the first 4 episodes so boring. After the first episode I didn't want to continue watching "Boba Fett", then I saw that Mando was in it and I realised that I have to watch it for season 3 of "the Mandalorian" to make sens to me. I forced myself to watch episode 2-4 and couldn't watch more that an episode per day, when Mando showed up in episode 5 I couldn't stop watching and I saw episode 6 and 7 that same day. I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars, I like the movies and I realy like "the Mandalorian", so maybe that is why I didn't like this show.

As a watcher of the movies I was never a huge Boba Fett fan. In the original trilogy he captured Han but that’s really it. I never saw him do anything cool on screen. Mando and Grogu on the other hand they do cool Star Wars stuff! If you are a Boba fan and wanted to see him be awesome I understand if you are disappointed.( especially if you have been waiting for a while to see it) Fennac taking out the Pykes and the Mayor was a lost moment for me. It should have been Boba at least taking out the mayor and the leader Pyke. Then losing Cad Bane would have been worth it showing Boba and us he can be nice but underneath it all he’s still a “killer”. And that is the awesomeness we were expecting when we see him kill Bib Fortuna. As for me Mandalorian season 3 looks good. I don’t believe Mando and Grogu being separated was the main plot of the year. Din has to be redeemed in the waters, rebuild Mandalore and learn to use the Darksaber to unite the people into one. He has enough on his plate for me. Does Din need Grogu with him every episode? No. Am I upset they are together so soon? NO. As I have been with Grogu more than Boba I don’t think I missed much. But I know others believe they have and that’s the inconsistency of this series.
