The Book of Joel states that its author was Prophet Joel 1: 1. The book of the prophet Joel is very interesting because he is familiar with other scripture books such as Nehemiah, Isaiah, Amos, Zephaniah, Nahun, Obadiah Ezekiel, Malachi, Exodus. It is not known exactly when it was written, but it is believed to have been in the time of Ezdra-Nehemeias. The message of the book is an invitation to repentance and penance, which lead man to reconcile himself with God and to proclaim the Lord's Day. Joel 2:31, 32. The Book of Joel mentions the outpouring of the Spirit. The initial fulfillment of this is cited by Peter in Acts 2, having taken place at Pentecost.
