He called me to read The Book of Nahum last night. I do a daily devotional read in the morning which consists of one word and scriptures and preachings around that word. I got COMFORT! Fast forward to the end of my day, I grab my bible and open to which section called to me, and it was Nahum. I’ve NEVER even seen this word before let alone known about the section in the Bible. I open it and it describes that in Hebrew NAHUM means COMFORT…… The Lord is here and he works in beautiful ways. Thank you for this ❤

Today in Church we had a reading from Nahum. As a result, I came back to listen to this video again. As you were speaking about oppressive nations I couldn’t help but think about the approximately 40,000 Palestinians who have been and are being ruthlessly oppressed by many nations. The Lord is watching this injustice and I sure hope I’m part of the faithful remnant when he exacts his punishment on the perpetrators of this grave injustice.🙏

Its September 30, 2023 and I want to share this. the night before, I had a dream about a prophet appearing in a town that was filled with hurting people. I heard the name Nahum. Every time I would hear his name mentioned, the people rejoiced because he was here. Not saying that he was God but he was sent to bring relief. I wish I knew what this dream meant and why I dreamt it. This story is good and I pray that I get a clear understanding about it.

TMH didn’t forget about His chosen people who have been scattered and oppressed to this day by all these nations. Just like the prophecy that Nahum gave Nineveh so is TMH saying to these nations around the world. Destruction and judgement is coming. Repent and get your life right with TMH. Seek His truth and it shall set you free. Shalom ❤

Dear Brother, May The LORD bless and keep you. You are presenting exquisite pearls of great Wisdom in your brief but pithy summaries/“redactionettes” of each Book of the Holy Bible. I am an elder of 75 years of age all of them hopefully being of Service to the Will of the Kingdom of Heaven. Your redactions with brilliant drawings are an EXCELLENT preview or a good review of each book. You waste no words nor do you loose time. Who can’t afford six mutes while waiting for a bus or waiting for a spouse to come out of the grocery store. Your voice indicates a man of less than 35 years, but your knowledge trebles that age. Are you just the narrator of a script-writing team, or is this all your own work. I myself have been called to open three different levels of Biblical exegesis for the world via KZbin, but every time I try to start something prevents me from proceeding. It is either the LORD or it is the adversary. But I have three to four thousand hours of talks all outlined and memorized in my head. I would ask you and all fellow true CHRISTians to pray for me that this attack will end and that HIS Will be done; on earth as it is in Heaven +brothermark+

Now that wrapped up my reading of Nahum so wonderfully! The first chapter as I read it sounded really hopeful for God's people and I said to myself "Man, to be on that other side of God's wrath 👀😬" And then came the rest of the chapter and how horrific it came to an end, and as expected of God's goodness, justice was served... but it was written in such a dark way... (?) especially the last verse "...all who hear news of you will clap their hands over you, for upon whom had not your wickedness passed continually?" sounded to me like a dramatic version of "serves you right! you got what you deserved!" haha Again, thank you BibleProject for this! 🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:02 📜 The Book of Nahum prophesies the downfall of the ancient Assyrian Empire, which was one of Israel's oppressors. 01:01 🙌 The book opens with a poem depicting God's power and justice, emphasizing His protection of the humble and the downfall of arrogant nations. 02:28 🔗 Nahum presents the fall of Nineveh as an example of God's commitment to bring down violent and arrogant empires in every age. 03:25 🏛️ The book describes the Battle of Nineveh and the empire's downfall, emphasizing how Assyria's violence led to its own destruction. 04:24 🌟 Nahum's message highlights God's judgment on evil and His care for the innocent, inviting readers to trust in God's justice. So what do you think will happen to Israel today that it is an oppressor of the most virulent kind? Those avaricious money changers have been in the gov'ts in every one of those empires that fell.
@yellercat500cat78 ай бұрын
@@elaine1034 While God doesn't hate the people in Palestine. Multiple Books in the Old Testaments have proclaimed Gaza's downfall well in advance to what we see today. Largely for all the same reasons the other neighboring nations around Israel fell.

@@yellercat500cat7 God does not hate anyone! The OT Pentateuche was written by *unknown* lying rabbis. Except for the prophets like Nahum, who knew the Hebrews well enough to know that wherever they were, eg. Assyria and Babylon they would bring that empire to ruin. Eventually Rome, Khazaria, Russia, Britain fell too. They have been the downfall of every empire's gov't that ever entertained them. The USA is now falling too.
@yellercat500cat78 ай бұрын
@@elaine1034 I should of made that more clear, because yes God doesn't hate anyone period. I'm just tired of other people, not you, thinking that way. However, your completely wrong about your statement containing the first 5 chapters of the Bible. Considering we know Moses wrote these books and how he's argueably the closest God got to any prophet ever, there should be no doubt at all that what Moses wrote comes from God. Empires like Assyria and Bablyon only took over Israel by God's discrection. Israel is not the reason those empire's fell. It's those Empire's actions towards Israel, God, and their own sin that lead to their downfalls. The more America moves away from Israel and God, that's where the destruction comes from.
@elaine10348 ай бұрын
@@yellercat500cat7 Think! So Moses wrote these books when? Did he have paper and ink in the desert? How could Moses write about his own death? Where is Moses' grave? That story about Moses was plagiarized from the story of Marduk of Mesopotamia. You must be a Jew! A smart Christian prays for the Holy Spirit to enlighten him before reading the OT and would see the lies for what they are. Like Jesus said in the NT "They were liars from the begining". Jacob was a liar, a thief and a coward so it's in their DNA.

I love your videos, because I get a sense of the bigger picture. That said, I found 3-4 mentions of Nineveh in chapter 1, in different Bible translations (the video says there are none). That means that even if the hebrew words are not "Nineveh" literally, the allusion to Nineveh is strong enough to have convinced several translators to write "Nineveh". I understand a video like this can't go into this discussion, but I'm left with a sense that one of the big points of the video is made on a shaky ground.

Yes, we all are sinners BuT God always gave us a plan of redemption to get right with him. Redemption was always something of great value. A blood sacrifice. There is life in the blood. The Old Testament the redemption was a pure animal sacrifice. The New Testament Jesus became that blood sacrifice that cleanses us from our sin. He took our punishment upon himself. So we could be declared clean.
