Had to look it up. From Mill City Press: "If your story is focused on character and plot, and it's set in the present day or recent past, classify your book as contemporary fiction. If your story is focused on language, and the art of writing, and explores universal themes and human experiences, it's more likely your book is literary fiction."

Dylan! I was wondering where you were! Glad you’re back!! I finally officially joined BOTM! Just paid for the whole year😂 I ordered The Fury for my January box but First Lie Wins sounds intriguing too. That was a tough choice! I’m getting hold of a library copy of it very soon so I’m excited for that too!

Great video! I selected The Fury and added The Stardust Theif and Northwoods. I wanted The Bullet Swallower but when I found out it was dual timeliness j decided not to. The 1800's timeline appealed to me. Have a very happy New Year!🎉🎉

Also I immediately read The Mystery Guest bc I loved The Maid and it was just as good if not better, I get the main character Molly and loved both of these books, such a cozy entertaining character for me, hope there are more to come!

I ended up going with The Fury. I haven’t read The Silent Patient yet but I figured once I read it and I like it I’ll want to read his newest one. I also added Butcher & Blackbird cuz some of my friends really love that book. Also decided to grab Divine Rivals for a video that I want to do.

I ordered First Lie Wins. I have mixed reactions to Alex Michaelidis’ books. I’ll be interested to see reviews on that book and Mercury. Happily anticipating my blue box delivery!

I ordered The Fury. I've only read The Silent Patient so far and enjoyed it. Also have The Maidens but haven't read it yet. I mainly picked The Fury because I wanted another Blake Crouch BOTM book .. ordered Recursion as an add-on.. just read Dark Matter and loved it. Already had Upgrade (still have to read), and his Wayward Pines trilogy, which I will be reading very soon (and the only BC books I'll have that aren't BOTM editions). I wish my Alex Michaelides books all matched but I got his first two books before I realized I could get them through BOTM.. too bad.. I like my books to match 😆

I used to have BOTM but then I unsubscribed because I thought the books selections were always trash and leaned more towards girly modern books.
