Cozy up this winter with LITTLE WOMEN by Louisa May Alcott. This was a reread for me, and I was not disappointed. Find me on Facebook for more bookish content throughout the week: / jordanelizabethborchert

I read a condensed version of Little Women when my daughter was in elementary school (she is 30 now), but I have never read the full version. But I have it on my reading list!

0:40-I thought middle school WAS junior high!

@@SJHFoto middle school is a school that goes from grades 5-8 or 6-8 while jr high is usually just 7-8 grades, different areas have different set ups

@@jordanelizabethborchert In Canada, the two terms are used interchangeably for grades 6 to 8

@@SJHFoto interesting, in the U. S. (Or at least in Minnesota where I live) there is a difference

@@jordanelizabethborchert Ever make your way to the Thunder Bay area? That's where I am from originally. (I am in the US now, but my definition of middle school is what I knew it to be as a kid)

@@SJHFoto I’ve never been in Canada, I’ve been close though, I’ve visited Baudette, MN, which is right on the border, and I’ve been to other places up in Northern MN

You say that you've seen a movie adaptation of this and it was an older movie. When someone your age says that, I have no idea which one to choose. You could mean the 90s movie, or the '33 movie with Katherine Hepburn, or somewhere in between (I know you don't mean the 100+ year old silent movie! Hehe! (It's a lost film-that was a joke)

@@SJHFoto I believe it was the 1949 adaptation

@@jordanelizabethborchert Ah yes-the first one in colour! I wasn't trying to be snarky earlier-I am a youth sports photographer. At a high school softball game, the college girl that works the mics said she would play oldies between innings and played "Getting Jiggy Wit' It" by Will Smith, and other 90s hits (not my definition of an oldie)

@@SJHFoto I started watching old movies with my grandma when I was really young, it was something we did often together, I’ve seen many films from the 30s-60s because of our movie nights together

@@jordanelizabethborchert Cool! I watched old movies with my Mom (she's 91) and I watched old sci fi movies at my local theatre back home (they showed 50s & 60s sci fi on Saturdays)
