Whenever you seek something to read, remember: Basic Information Before Leaving Earth = B I B L E (KJV) and a search: BIBLE + FREEMASONRY. Quran is a book of the little god of this world, lucifer. Placing the name allah to be satan`s another name. So far there is 3 things that give quran away: 1.) it promise carnal heaven, which is filled with virgins. 2.) Souls are willing to pick up the quran rather then the BIBLE. 3.) the god of quran didn´t die for the sins of his creation. Souls must work hard on their “good works” to arrive into imaginary heaven, where a life, like we have here, goes on.

Opinions of classical scholars are just that, it's their opinions. Al Quran is deff not restricted to any scholarly opinions rather it allows the readers (any and all) who ponders over any verses, taking into account subject matter and context, to arrive at the Truth by him/ herself that is valid before Allah SWT, this is the real meaning of the Ayat 31:27 And if all the trees on earth were pens and the Ocean (were ink), with seven Oceans behind it to add to its (supply) yet would not the Words of Allah be exhausted (in the writing): for Allah is Exalted in power, Full of Wisdom, hence no person no matter how knowledgeable or famous has any monopoly on the truth. The key to this Book must be the accurate translation from Quranic Arabic to English for maximum benefit.

Even being a Muslim, I find it hard to decide what to read? Islam shouldn't lead to multitudes of meanings for a single statement in the Quran, yet it is so hard to find one that is in agreement by all. There shouldn't be any disagreement or ambiguity if the intention of Allah was to convey what He wants to say to us.

The book appears "radically traditionalist" in this video where Dr Shabir rightfully points out the one sided criticisms on the modern comments regarding the verses, however it includes "radically modern" interpretations like perennialism as well. Dr. Shabir also does NOT mention whether the collection of the interpretations included in this book are from valid and credible Qur'anic scholars or just anyone just for the sake of variety. I also wonder if the book offer a biography of the scholars whose interpretations are included in this book so the reader can better decide about the validity of their interpretation. Honestly, I also found Dr. Shabir's comments on the verse on "beating" woman VERY confusing and NOT helpful at all, especially for a non-Muslim viewer of this presentation. @dreamflier4 жыл бұрын
@Arastushukooh Yes, I read that he uses ijtihad and rationality to explain some verses in the translation which may not sit well with some traditionalists (and the reason he is not accorded full recognition and respect for his works and various books and when he passed away, it hardly made news in the Arab world ). And though he did quote from Zamakhshari quite a lot, to be fair, he also used sources from other commentators and scholars as comparison.When I tried to compared between translations, I just used the Surah Al-Fatihah and the last three short suras to check out how the translations are fleshed out in all their eloquence. But I guess when it comes to preference, to each his own!
@dreamflier4 жыл бұрын
@Arastushukooh Yes, there is one Quran English transaction book where in the Surah Al-Fatihah, the last verse about " ..not the path of those who have incurred your wrath nor of those who have gone astray." was added with a bracket ( the Jews and Christians)! The translators (could be that Hillal and Khan guys that you mentioned) certainly had an agenda to demonise the Jews and Christians so non-Arab readers, and new converts etc who rely on this translation will think it is in the Quran itself, got radicalised, and took it upon themselves as a call to do harm against the Jews and Christians.and put Muslims.in a bad light. And this translation is also used by anti-Islam groups to point out, among others, that the Quran is prejudiced targetting the Jews and Christians as the bad guys.

Actually humans have an inbuilt disposition e.g. you instinctly know certain things are good or bad. Everyone can agree murder is bad. Similarly, you have it inbuilt within you that when you recognize the truth, you are compelled to follow it. So I highly encourage you to study Islam properly and you will see that your soul will be drawn towards the truth.

Astagferllah...my intention is not to leave a negative comment but what I hear him saying is that the average muslim is unable to draw conclusions when given different interpretations on the Quran and that muslims are to be followers of the so-called Scholars. Well not all Scholars agree and none of the Scholars are guaranteed 100% correct. No one wants to be led to slaughter like cattle. People that are not mentally deficient are responsible for themselves and must do their own critical thinking. InshaAllah we are all granted Paradise.

Your living a delusional life which will come to an end and if your not a believer in Allah and Muhammad صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ being the last Prophet then your end will be scary.

It maybe that you may like a thing but is harmful for you and maybe you maybe dislike a thing which is good for you. So Dr. Shabir Ali how can you say that A man is not allowed to beat a women if she is lewd? I am not a scholar but Quran is the word of Allah and everything Quran says is the moral definition of what is good and what is bad. So good and bad are defined by Quran not by how we feel or think. If Allah states a man has certain authority over women that means that is the good thing, it is the moral way, it is the right way. There must be no objection to it for Allah says of the believers " They Hear and They Obey". They do not criticize, they do not add or subtract, they hear and they obey. There is no modern in Islam, There is no Modern Islam. Anyone who thinks he is following Modern Islam has to stop and rethink. Islam is an unchangeable religion and cannot be changed no! You can either believe in what was revealed and be a believer or not believe in what was revealed and be a disbeliever. That means everyone who has problem what the simple explanation of the Quran, because Allah mentions it Allah made Quran easy for us. So What is apparent is the truth of Quran. Anyone who has problem with what is Apparent and Clear, has to really reconsider the problems and Make Taubah and Submit to what Allah has revealed without being Apologetic. Truth is clear and even if truth is bitter yet truth wins. So why you people try to so called modernize Allah's revelation when it is meant to be a warning and a good message only. It is not meant to please the disbelievers neither is it meant to please any creatures rather it is a warning and a glad tiding for those who fear Allah not duniya.

brother you can beat your wife all you like, we don't really care. You can kill her too, but yeah there are consequences for that and jail isn't very appealing.

I think this book has a really big problem with Aqeedah! It contains some sufis and Shia interpretation , which are considered by Muslims as Kufr and heretic ones! This book was written with agenda! As its propaganda has shown in CNN, it is written to withdraw Quran from Khawarij! However, they ended with the same problem that Khwarij has., which is radicalization the text but with the other side! It has a problem, not only with the interpretation but also with the translation itself. They have translated Surah 3:19. إن الدين عند الله الإسلام They said The religion for God is submission !, which is a trial from them to omit the clear message from that ayah that God accepts Islam only . Yes, islam is the religion of all prophets, but now The only reflection of that Islam (submission) is by what the prophet Muhammed taught and indicated . , Finally, All the authors are obsessed with sufis! , so you can imagine what kind of that book looks like! Personally, I don't recommend that book!

+tornado 1 Asalamualikum brother, you stated: "I think this book has a really big problem with Aqeedah!" There are various schools of thought regarding Aqeedah, which one do you think is the correct one? "It contains some Sufis and Shia interpretation , which are considered by Muslims as Kufr and heretic ones!" Over 200 leading Muslim scholars from over 50 countries (including Saudi) declared that Sufis and Shia are Muslims, not kufar or heretics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amman_Message Or did you mean that some of their interpretations are "kufr" and heretical? "They said The religion for God is submission !"; The actual quote is "Truly the religion in the sight of God is submission..." - The Study Quran pg.135 In the commentary section the authors mention that some classical commentators share your position, and others don't, what is wrong with stating such a fact? "Finally, All the authors are obsessed with sufis!" That is understandable, as sufis are delightful company ;)
