I do NOT understand why some people feel compelled to give negative comments, like you should do exactly what they want. They don't need to watch your channel. You're giving us inspiration and ideas. Then we do what we want. I think this is an amazing idea. You always come up with something new and different. Then I see other Crafters on KZbin doing your ideas. Thank you for sharing your ideas.😊

Like wise. To distress means : to give simulated marks of age and wear. I've never seen paper edges turning blue or pink as it ages. I can validate different shades from black to copper (even some type of dark green) but that's it. Now, I might edge my paper in another bright color (my choice) but I'm not labelling it distressing. I'm appalled by the audacity of some comments.

The amount of subscribers you have is simply a testament to how much people like your work and YOU personally. You are incredibly easy to follow because you break everything down to its simplest form which helps even the newest crafter feel confident that they too can recreate your magic. Unfortunately some people are so caught up in their own entitlement that they tend to forget others are entitled too, which is why I love the phrase “You do YOU” in the crafting world. There are so many different varieties of styles on You tube and that’s why I love subscribing to many channels to glean something from different ones. As people mature perhaps they will realize this too. Of course if you go to the haters channel that has left you negatively opinionated comments, you’ll find that they have produced absolutely zero content. I’ve been learning from crafting channels on KZbin since 2016 and I got to the point that I don’t even bother looking at the haters channel anymore because it was the same thing every time. Not ONE of them had ever uploaded a video of them even attempting to do what you (or anyone else) do. So I wouldn’t be bothered by their opinion of your work. Please continue to do YOU in YOUR style as YOU see fit. That’s why I have my notification Bell set for your channel, because I personally happen to love your style & feel there is always enough variety in it that I still find it interesting and can learn from you. When I want to look at brightly colored projects, I tend to search for whatever it is in the search bar and choose videos from there. Even though I relate most of your works with a more vintage vibe/style to them, it doesn’t make the overall work itself any less unique. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if dragonflies is your preference over butterflies, then you plug that in in your own work instead of using a butterfly; Or ladybugs, or a beetle, or a spider or even a roach! You do YOU! 🤷🏻‍♀️😎

Very well said indeed! I’ve not ever encountered a Negative Nancy, Debbie Downer or otherwise Hateful Hattie! Love this video as well as all of ur videos. I love your creativity. You are making things your way, you are only giving examples of things that could be made. Not everything is everyone’s style. Those negative Nancy’s either need to come up with their own creativity or use yours as a guidance to their nasty loving insects. They probably enjoy housing bedbugs, cockroaches, flies, gnats and stink bugs! But to each their own. You made me giggle when you added the insects to be a wise butt. Please don’t forget you can always block those who have negative things to say about your amazing creativity. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!

These are so pretty, they look complicated, but when you break it down it seems actually really simple. I got all kinds of ideas. I've been toying with aquatic themes a lot lately. And I could see a tunnel book showing going deeper under water, with creatures seen at darker depths. Or. Maybe a forest, wandering into a forest, or UP in the forest, ground level and climb up to the canopy like a rainforest or even a treehouse!! Maybe a drive to a vacation spot, like from Kansas to the beach showing terrain change . Or from a big city out to a rural countryside. Even a trip into outer space 🚀. You could even have a trip into the human body or into a beehive. That little window really draws you in and you want to turn the page

@@bundlewade lol, I'm blessed with inspiration from videos like this one, and I wish I could put my ides into the material world. I'd be surrounded by the colorful beautiful things that exist only in my brain. The children's book I started, the board game I want to make based on a backpacking trip to climb a mountain, the miniature dollhouse based on the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip complete with treehouse, another dollhouse with a secret laboratory past a revolving bookshelf, a quilt for each child made using their childhood clothing. I can't even sew.. The illustrations or animations of some of my dreams.... Sigh Wouldn't it be great if you could SHOW someone your dream?

I love tunnel books! When I made them I made them a little different, they were only open in the middle, on both sides there were accordion folded paper and sceneries were glued on every second accordion fold, so when it was flat you could see the mishmash of the sceneries, but when you drew out the accordion folds the sceneries made a bigger scenery, like on the theatre stage. You could glue a door at the front so it would be like a mystery opening the doors and folding out the accordion folds at the sides! With different lightings it would be like a theatre stage scenery, and since it is an idea from victorian times I think they used it as theatre mementos too. You could also change sceneries out and make up your own stories with it.

I think I might explore with blues, greens and turquoises too, because that's how copper ages)

You do a wonderful job with your videos and like you say “YOU should do what speaks to YOU!” To the naysayers I say “Go do your own if you have different preferences and stop trying to control others!”

There are always nasty people, criticizing, what I’m sure is that these kind of people are totally sour & bitter and want others to be as they are throwing their trash at you, we give what’s inside of us period. Natasa what a beautiful idea I had never heard of tunnel books they’re simply gorgeous❤❤❤i too only use brown for inking rarely black depending on the shades of the paper I use I’ll give this a try they’re more than amazing I get so excited with all the thousands of unlimited ideas you share. Thank you sooo much here from so far away-Guatemala

Brown edges add a richness and definition! Everyone can select their own choices. Love your videos! You are organized, clear, and show each step in detail. Best detail has to be the list to show each step. Many thanks for sharing your creativity. I always am inspired to try your projects!

I agree, why people comment to criticize as to why you use brown or butterflies etc. You are teaching the technique and you always encourage others to do.their own thing. I do love that you address those comments in a kind way!! So glad I found you. I'm enjoying new ideas and all the inspirations!❤❤❤

People need to keep their negative comments to themselves. This is your channel! I love butterflies and bees but not too many more bugs! I also traditionally use brown! Get your own channel! I have never seen tunnel books. Thanks for showing us!

Thanks for this great video. I can't believe people take the time to criticize. For me, I also use what I have. I dont' have distress inks, so I used some old eye shadow to ink the edges. And yes, I used brown!
