I just recently saw this book at my local book store and really wanted to get it. I'm so happy you did an overview about it. Now I think I'll go and buy it. I've wanted to have a better view of Tolkien as a person for a long time. :)

Yes. I think they must have imported it from the UK. Tolkien does have a pretty distinct following in Finland. Must be his use of Finnish as a base for the elven language Quenya. xD I'm definitely saving up some money and buying it. And yeah, a lot of the time I have to order stuff online too. They're usually a bit cheaper that way too. But this is such a huge and heavy book I think the shipping fees alone would bankrupt me. xD

I wonder how the Lord of the Rings section of this book compares to the separate 'The Art of the Lord of the Rings' book. I see in passing that some of the same prints and maps are here, but obviously the separate book goes much deeper into the matter. Do you happen to have that book too? If so I'd like to know how they compare. I'd rather go with this, since it covers everything else as well.
