You ever heard of consistency? And I especially hate it, when the writing on the spine of a series isn't the same size or in the same position. One blank page is nothing compared to the "great" idea a publisher thought of last Christmas. There was a book, which they wanted to be a part of the Christmas sale, but the book wasn't ready yet, so what they did was they printed the first chapter in the book and left ALL the other pages blank and the idea was that you could buy the unfinished book and inside we (the employees) would make a giftcard and put it in a little plastic folder on the back of the front cover. Then when the full book came out you could come in and exchange the giftcard for the full book. That was ridiculous and a total waste of resources! They wanted to see how it went with that book and maybe use the method with other books aswell. My boss refused to put our copies on the shelves. Luckily we haven't seen anything like that since.

I agree those books with the covers that easily smug are so annoying. Another pet peeve are some books with the new thin pages, now I'm worried of ripping the pages some how.

Sameeee Jesse I was at the book store yesterday, and on every hardcover there were reviews and not a description and i'm like wtf because it doesn't make any sense. they should just put those reviews inside on a black page.

when books have like 8 title pages at the beginning and then when you start reading it says you're on page 10 when you're on page 1 of the story!
