Terrific reviews and wrap-up. I also just read The Hollow Places and really liked it too. T. Kingfisher has been such a wonderful discovery for me. You read some great books for several different events! 😊

The atmosphere in The Hollow Places is fantastic! I agree that it feels very Gothic. I'm definitely on the opposite end from you - I visualize things so strongly when I read.

It's so funny how similar our taste can be, with very opposite reading experiences. Do you have very visual/well remembered dreams? I have basically none and have always assumed it was related. Brains are so fascinating!

@@ReadBecca omg, my dreams seriously never let up. Every night, so vivid, and basically always incredibly frustrating.

The Hollow Places is on my TBR! Rabbit Proof Fence sounds super interesting!

We might as well add all the T. Kingfisher to our TBR's huh? 😂 Even her mediocre books are still a great time. Rabbit Proof Fence was definitely a great short introduction to the topic, I can't believe I've never learned about before. Super important history that's for sure.

@@ReadBecca I guess we do! 😅 Yes, I wasn't aware of it either. Why don't we hear more about these things?

I'm very excited for Strike Your Heart. It was already on my TBR but you renewed my interest. I read Rabbit-proof Fence a few years ago but gave it 2 stars. It started well but the pacing was slow and redundant. I heard about The Center cannot Hold in another mental health memoir Darkness Visible by William Styron and want to read it.

Completely agree with you on Rabbit Proof Fence, it's sad because it is such an important story. You would probably really like The Center Cannot Hold, it is really gripping.
