Thanks for another on-(price)-point video. I’m wondering if one should match one’s prices on different platforms (i.e. Amazon vs. Ingram Spark). Seems tricky to me as the royalty set ups are different on each.

If it's selling well, why do you want to mess with a good thing? :) And, really the answer is dependent on your competition, what the reviewers of your book are saying, and what the true value of your book is.

My latest book is $15.99 on Amazon and to be competitive with that I price it at $16 with shipping and include bonuses: www.selfpublishandsucceed.com It depends on how you are distributing it and what your goals are and what the value in the book is to your reader to buy it from you vs Amazon or another book store? Also, on your own website, consider how you'll handle returns or request for return?

I appreciate the videos and they are clarifying tremendously for a first time author. I guess specifics matter, so I am writing a different kind of romance novel, and i know everyone says theirs is the best. But i am writing something that explores a whole different side of things and trying to get it priced properly. I notice most in my category of comps run about $5 for ebook and $10 for paperback, but because of up front costs, that does make it difficult. I don't need to make millions but I want to promote the heck out of this book and will be following your helpful tips but I need to get the price right and i see some who are actually promoting free books. How does anyone do that? Thanks

Hey - I am not a fiction book expert. I would say that most fiction authors that enjoy a lot of success are writing multiple books so that when they lose money on the sale of the first it's bringing people into their ecosystem to profit on future purchases.

The local publisher has ordered 1000 high-quality hardback copies from a printer in Spain. I have contacted distributors in Europe and the USA, and I am also researching how to sell the book through Amazon. Do you have a video on exactly how to do this? Also, your platinum service sounds interesting, so please would you let me know where I can find out about it.

@@maaifoediedelarey4335 we don't use Lulu just because the distribution options are poor - Ingram Spark really is best for global distribution, book stores, and getting hard cover done with distribution. Again - depends on your goals - but your book sounds like one that libraries, accountants, lawyers, colleges and universities would look at ... so you need to be in a catalog they will order from and that's Ingram.

I have gotten from your other videos that it's not enough to have a book listed on Amazon, but that it needs to get on a/the catalogue. After I polish the script, if I go this professional route (which is entirely in my nature), I would probably need to get some professional assistance with the cover, esp back cover, aside from other technicalities, properly, without breaking the bank, before I put it out there - does your organisation provide that ?

If it's self-publishing you should be able to choose your pricing ...

For me, I would like to make $2 to $3 profit for each copy sold, depending on how much I think it is worth to the reader, so I would just put the page count and price in the KDP calculator until I find the right price. I'd price them between 2.99 and 3.99 (kindle) and 8.99 to 9.99 (print), depending on page count.
