Have loved the Insights series for each year with Tyler & Taylor. Looks like this is a new series with Tyler - loving it too. The electronic whiteboard is great addition w/cool tools! Any chance of dimming the brightness? It’s a little challenging on the eyes. Thank you, as always for your careful preparation & thought in creating these lessons each week. 💛

Wow. Thank you Brother Griffin. this is great for personal commissions. I relate so easily. I hope others get the fullness of these truths and utilize them. The spirit of Ricks increases the harmony of this lesson. Thank you. Every word is true to our faith.

I like how these questions of who, what, where, why and how are many times answered in amazing "wherefores" in the scriptures. Sometimes the wherefores are spelled out in "thus we see" or "now I know". Other times its left up to us. That's what keeps the Book of Mormon alive to me.

I absolutely Luved & grew these last 4yrs.. the Teachers methods were extremely Powerful helpful in teaching so many of our Spirits, I certainly grew externally & appreciate the Prophets of old who gave us a new eye sight of understanding for the past and into our Last Days, we see so much hope and learn of patterns to incorporate into our own lives... Thank you for baring with us again as you give to us another opportunity to learn more about the Doctrine of Jesus Christ and what he wants us to learn. It's a great Sacrefice on you and families. As a SD I personally need these studies, I'm so grateful to our Lord who gave us all these Great and Powerful Teacher's...🙏

Wao!

Excellent insights and thoughts. Second prompt should be 1 Nephi 2:14 (it uses a reference to the first scripture by accident) 17:35 "[His] mother's heart ...", which I am assuming is in reference Nephi. Lehi teaches us that it is much better to have faith through spiritual obedience, but that we still must step forward even when we don't know all of the why or how. It is exactly that journey which brings us closer to God. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Is it better to go to church if it’s not just because you love God but because you feel like it’s the right thing to do or is it better just to not go if you don’t do it for the right reason?

As a fairly new convert I’m not understanding how it could be true that our God who is a God of love would say for one of His children to kill another one of His children, living in sin or not. Can anyone help me understand this
@pamelarust348711 ай бұрын
That is a fair concern and it bothered me in my early days of scripture study. With future study, I realized God councils us that it is better for one man to perish than a whole nation fail. Nephi’s people would become a nation. Just as we must bear arms against unrighteous nations that would take freedom from people, Nephi had to bear a sword against Laban to preserve the freedom to have the records and righteous teachings and revelations to guide this family and a future nation. Bear in mind that death is not an end.

First of all, I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true. OK. 1 Nephi 2 talks about the Red Sea. Scholars say "Red Sea" in the Bible is a mistranslation. People may say that the Book of Mormon is a fraud because it has the same mistranslation in it. (Nephi should have called it the name they used back then if he truly wrote it.) I know different cultures had a different name for it. So if the Israelites had a name for it it doesn't mean they were wrong for calling it different than say the Romans or Greeks. I don't know what Nephi called it or how he spelled it in his language. In 2 Nephi 25:19 it says the Messiah will be called Jesus Christ. Was He called Jesus back then? No. It's our name for Him. Does it make the Bible or Book of Mormon false or inaccurate and therefore not the true word of God? No. The translation put it in words or names we know. Same for the Red Sea. Regardless of what the ancient Israelites called that body of water today we called it the Red Sea. A name we are familiar with. My question is do we know what the Church says about this apparent discrepancy? For me I have my own explanation. Just wondering. Thank you.

I strongly encourage any Mormon to look into look into the Laws of God. We all fall short. The TRUE CHRIST of the Bible fulfills the law on our behalf. That’s the only thing that matters. The Additions of the Mormon church are in conflict with the teachings of Christ and His word. You cannot work your way to Heaven. Test your worldview. Joseph Smith is a FALSE prophet,
