The French series you're reading by Christelle Dabos is incredible. We are patiently waiting for the fourth and final book here in France. I absolutely adore this series. I read the second book in one seating, that's how excited and passionate I was about it. I don't know if I would compare it to HP though. The universe is well tought out, and the story is always keeping you on your toes. You're making me want to re-read it ! I hope the translation gives justice to the book. Enjoy xx

I recently picked up "In the Country we Love: My Family Divided." by Diane Guerrero. I'm only about twenty pages in but it's really good. It's a menoir with an emphasis on her parents being deported when she was fourteen and pretty much her experience with that, so you have all the photos of her family and in the prologue she says something like "There are thousands of children who will go through the same thing I did and nobody will hear their story. This is my gift to them." And I have been thinking about it all day.

Omg I'm so happy that A Winter's Promise has finally been translated into English! It's one of my all-time favorite fantasy novels, I can't get enough of it and the sequels are just as magical as this one. It is eerie and atmospheric, with political but also transcendental intrigues (it will make sense eventually), and just so unique! I can't wait to hear your opinion. Love your channel, Hannah, hope you're ok

Im french and i’ve read the winter’s promise when it got out and i absolutely loved it. Ophelie is so reliable and she faces everything like a real person would do, which makes me love her. Thorn (i don’t know his name in english, so her fiancé) makes me laugh and i like even if people usually don’t (in the book). As for the next character that you can see next they are all beautifully written. I hope you will enjoy this french reading ! (Sorry for my english i tried my best

YES I'm so happy that you've picked up A Winter's Promise! I'm French and I'm so excited that a French fantasy series is finally getting international recognition! It's always been compared to Harry Potter (personally I never really felt it was that similar though) because the characters and the universe are so colorful and enchanting, and there's a lot of mysteries. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it!

If you're looking for a graphic memoir with depth, I highly recommend Stitches, by David Small. It's not a long book (took me about 20 minutes to read) but I was so in awe of the illustrations and how much a simple line drawing could convey that I spent additional time rereading. His story is a little bit harrowing, and therefore the book is fairly dark, but it's highly worth reading!

It's awesome to see you back around and smiling, Hannah. I absolutely love Greek mythology and The Odessey has always been one of my favorite works so I think Circe would be a great read for me. I haven't been able to find a good Greek mytho story since Kendare Blake's Mortal Gods series. And any book by V.E Schwab has been on my radar. I've heard wonderful reviews about her and her books, Vicious in particular, so this gives me the push I need to pick up one of her books before I start the next semester. I've just gotta get my TBR shelf cleared first...that should be fun...

I think you would really like The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. It's told from the perspective of Ernest Hemingway's first wife, about their falling in love and his struggle to begin his career as a writer. It's fiction but it was very well researched from Hadley Richardson's diaries. It also tells about the lost generation (Gertrude Stein, F. Scott Fitz, Picasso) living in Paris in the 1920s. You should really give it a shot. Love your vids btw :)
