Approaching Northanger Abbey as parody on the gothic novel and regency social scenes makes it absolutely fucking hilarious! Jane came the fuck for everyone in it and I appreciate it a lot more now that I'm older. Also, Persuasion is definitely my underdog Austen novel and one of my favorites of all time. It's so autumnal and beautiful and the yearning and the relationship at the center of it is unmatched. I definitely recommend watching the 2007 TV movie for it -- cast is great and the score makes me cry. Cheers!
