+Gothy Witchy It wasn't in mine! But then again mine is kinda small, although pretty much that happened with ACOTAR- I went to check when it was coming out but ended up getting it from the backstore and it was signed even though it was at least 20 days before it was due to come out! I pre-ordered mine from the website, but sometimes my Waterstones pre-order deliveries are a bit temperamental, some will come a few days before it's out publicly,, sometimes I get it a day after or on the day of release, or it takes 4/5 days to ship!
@rachelhesketh949 жыл бұрын
Up in Greater Manchester, but I asked the cashier today when I was in that pre-ordered books are sent from the warehouse rather than your nearest shop, so I could be getting mine around the release date, it's only a few more days until it's out though, I'll cope! :P

Hey Sasha! Just wanted to share something with you. I'm about to be a junior in college now..but I was/am an avid reader (reading 12-15 books a month) but when I entered college for the first time, that quickly changed. It would be months and I hadn't read a book! I hope you aren't too hard on yourself with reading because the transition from high school to college is difficult and you will be sooo busy and the days will just fly by! Enjoy college life and I hope you thrive as a college student.. Just don't be too strict with yourself and focus on having fun! :)

The first thing I thought when I saw your first book on the pile was "No, she won't..." Are you sure, you want to bring your most precious posession (your signed awesome copy of Divergent) to college with you? Not to scare you, but not all people are nice in college or have the same attitude toward holy books as we bookworms do... What if your roommate throws a party and someone knocks it on the ground, steps on it or someone spills something on it? Even by accident. Or if it gets stolen? I mean, it is signed multiple times after all. (The same goes for all the other signed copies of the all the other books) I totally get, why you wanna bring it but as a college student myself I would really really advise you to maybe overthink it and bring the not so meaningful copy with you. Trust me, I have had this kind of experience with my former roommates already. On a lighter note: I'm so happy you got into your dream college! Wooo! Go Sasha! :)

I don't want to sound mean, but I don't think that bringing already read books with you is practical. It will be pretty yes, but it takes up the space, plus I don't see any good reason for having them. I don't know where you're going to be, but stuff gets destroyed/stolen quite often with a lot of students in the same place. And there's extra luggage. I would only go with tbr books, but that's just me.
@lucylume7 жыл бұрын
Personally I'd bring my fav books to. Logically you won't like all the tbr books and what if you don't enjoy them? You'd want something to fall back on i.e Books you already know and love and are confident you'll enjoy when you re-read them x
@404-equivalent47 жыл бұрын
Yes, I would agree with one to three comfort books, but more than that I think it's too much. I personally haven't reread a favourite while studying. It happens often that I have a lot to read for university and if I have some extra time I'd rather pick a new book than reread a favourite. Plus if I am craving a certain book I can always go to the library. Than again everyone's different but that's my experience on the topic.

I don't want to be a killjoy but you might want to reconsider taking all those valuable, sentimental books with you. I understand wanting the books you love near you but maybe take a copy that isn't quite so valuable. You can't trust that they won't be messed with or stolen in the dorms. Maybe wait til winter break to feel out how secure your space is. Freshman year I had a great room at the end of the hall and no one went down there. Sophomore year my roommates were social butterflies and my room was a revolving door of strangers. Be careful.
