You are so quiet and comfortable. After such videos and after an inner experience, I realized that I wanted to return to my Siberian village. I love cities, they have all the amenities. But it's so difficult here. Sometimes it seems that people run and do not notice their lives. Today I called my mother and said that I want to go home. Today I have probably made the most important decision of my life. But everything will depend on the availability of work. Will they take me as a teacher to the school or not. The school is small, but maybe something will work out. Thanks for your warmth💕

Hi Miranda, I enjoy the beauty,and serenity of your videos. I live in such a busy,loud town. The cake you made looks so delicious,I love anything with Marmalade in it.I love that you feature books that other book tubers don't talk about,which is so refreshing. I love the outfits you wear in all your videos,you always look so lady like. It's unusual to see someone of your generation feature stationery and be excited about it ! I have always loved stationery and it was a "right of passage" to receive a box of stationery with your monogram on a colored paper of your choice when I was younger. I felt so grown up when I received my first box ! Letter writing is a lost Art,especially in the USA. As a matter of fact,people rarely send cards for Birthdays, or Christmas anymore,instead choosing to send emails, and texts...so impersonal ! I love receiving cards,and letters in the mail, so much joy instead of the monthly "bills". I wish I had such a wonderful relationship with my Mom as you do with your mother. Dear Miranda and Donna, such a stunning introduction to this journal and what treats followed. My daughter has an impressively tall stack of the Emma Bridgewater cake plates and it's always a delight to delve into the cupboard to see which one is next to use - so I, too, treated myself to some in the sale which, as you say, is always so good and I am hoping to replicate a tall pile of cake plates! And then what better than the baking and recipe following that to enjoy. Donna, on the island, over the years since I've lived here, there has been quite an increase in the number of little egrets and on a Winter's walk they fly up from the mud flats and take your breath away with their beauty, I will always think of you when I see one now. I loved The Willows in Winter when I read it a few years ago. I might reread it this year. I always reread The Wind in the Willows every spring so this would make a nice addition to my tradition. Now I just need a Willows book for summer and autumn!

Another wonderful vlog! A few videos ago you talked about that "Year of Wonder, Classical Music for Every Day" book, and I thought it such a fantastic idea. I still haven't gotten the book, but I've made it a habit of listening to some classical music as well as other peaceful and beautiful music pieces every morning as I drink my coffee. It's a moment of pure peace and delight, where it's just me, coffee and music... and it truly DOES help with getting on with a busy day afterwards! I loved all the lovely things in your video, but I've now a weakness for tea towels, lol However I use them a bit differently; my favorite place to read is at the kitchen table, with a candle burning, music in the background, and now a beautiful tea towel under my book, LOL I swear that it does add to the enjoyment of the book! LOL Anyway, Miranda, thank you so much for the time and effort you put into these wonderful videos. I SO look forward to them!

Your outfits were fabulous throughout the vlog but I especially loved the floral one during the reading roundup. I also read She and her Cat and enjoyed it, but my favourite book this month was Fredrik Backman's My Grandmother sends her regards and apologises. Wonderful vlog as always.🤩 So interesting to hear about your morning rituals and the LED mask. I bought a red light therapy box (EMR tek) some months ago mainly targeting my face/gums (supposed to enable cellular regeneration!) as well as my neck/back of head to ease some aching. Has been fab. 😊. The year of wonder book is next on my list 😍 I soooo LOOOOVE the daily/calender aspect intergrated which reminds me of a book ive been using for years as part of my morning 'Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy' (95) which has the same format and seasonal aspect as well. xx

Really enjoyed this vlog. Beautiful Emma Bridgewater items! The Fragonard candle was stunning - I received the Fragonard Fleur d’oranger diffuser for Christmas and it smells amazing! This month has been crazy busy for me so unfortunately haven’t been able to read as much as I would have liked. Have nearly finished 4.50 From Paddington. I have read this before and think I can remember ‘who did it’ ! Very envious of your fire at the end, it looked so cosy 😀

I’m very taken with your idea of getting up at the same time every day and I think I’m going to try it. I find especially on weekends the time often slips away before I’ve got half the things I want to do done, so this will help, plus I’m hoping it has a beneficial effect on my sleep too. I must get the Another Year of Wonder. I’ve been so tempted by the Emma Bridgewater sale emails but so far I’m holding strong 😊. I’m trying to be more intentional on purchases this year and dial down the amount of buying, but I have been so sorely tempted. I love the candlestick you chose especially. I can't tell you how much I love your videos! I also believe in building good habits and I have been listening to my audio book first thing in the morning for a little while just for some quiet time before the day really starts. I completely agree about the ritual of good skincare morning and night and I go out for short walks each day so definitely use a bit more moisturiser at this time of year! What a wonderful personal set of stationery - I recall you showing the beautiful robin stationery previously (I too have a fondness for robins!). I always enjoy your baking and chats with your mum - such a lovely way to spend some time. I am like your mum and often stick with my "usual" reads but luckily the Comfort Book Club has helped me to branch out slightly! You really do pack a lot of content into your videos - thank you so much for all your efforts x

I really enjoyed this post. Your obvious delight when opening your various packages made me smile. Nothing beats having some parcels to go through! My January reading has gotten off to a slow start as I was on holiday until the second week of the month. I did manage to complete Hare House by Sally Hinchcliffe and am now down to the last 100 pages of The Lighthouse Witches by C.J. Cooke, which I hope to finish within the next day or so. Here's hoping that next month will be more productive, reading-wise!
