I am currently busy reading your book "The trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst. Enjoying it immensely. Almost done and wishing it was longer. I am from South Africa and had to order my copy from the UK. Definitely worth the effort and long waiting time for delivery. I am walking on sunshine just thinking about your book.

The only problem with watching other book tuber channels is that it increases the tbr. So many books and so little time.

I think the highlight of my November was The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. You have reminded me that it's been ages since I've read any poetry as well. I must remedy that!

Midnight at Malabar House sounds fantastic, will add to my TBR and look out for this one. I'm currently reading A Christmas Carol with my daughter, we read a page each, which is wonderful. For Non-Fiction November I read a book called Parallel Lives by Phyllis Rose, feminist critical writing on Five Victorian Marriages, including Catherine Hogarth &Charles Dickens, Effie Grey & John Ruskin , George Elliot & George Henry Lewis, if you haven't read this I think you would really enjoy it and find it fascinating, as I did, definitely a classic for a reason.

I'm surprised you haven't talked about Sir Walter Scott on your channel (unless I just can't find it), have you read his works? Soon starting my first, Waverley, because of Trollope's admiration.

November 1. John Adams by David McCullough 2. Robin Williams: A Biography on Robin Williams by Ziggy Watson 3. My Death by Lisa Tuttle 4. Rubicon by Tom Holland 5. Framley Parsonage by Anthony Trollop 6. America is in the Heart by Carlos Bulosan 7. The Book of Lost Things by John Connelly 8. The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Kate Lumsden I loved your book and I have your second one my wishlist for Christmas, though I'm in the U.S. so it will take longer to get here since it's not published here yet.

Never Let Me Go was very good: An ordinary but special caregiver examines society's morals and ethics through memories presented as an autobiography; The Echoes was fantastic: the ghost of a writing coach is doomed to haunt his old flat as life moves on for his loved ones; Grapes of Wrath filled a big gap in my reading: no comment required. Philip Roth's Plot Against America is historical fiction at his best. At times you need pinch yourself to remember it's not real and it didn't happen. Later this month I plan to finish The Time Machine and the Ministry of Time to complete the study began with Before the Coffee Gets Cold and How to Lose a Time War. Obviously I'm very happy with my reading lately.

Hi Katie 👋 Have you read Abbey Himenez? If you like Emily Henry, I think you’d like her writing too. Best books I’ve read recently The Snow Child Our Evenings by Alan Hollinghurst Clear by Carys Davies

Do you watch TV adaptations of classic novels? Just finished watching The Mayor of Casterbridge from 1978 and was wondering what you thought of it.
