Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves kzbin.infoUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

Wow! Super MOM. Great project, Frank. I have about 10 sheets of prefinished maple ply waiting on me to produce cabinets. I designed the cabinets to surround our Theater Room screen using Sketchup. Then I imported the Sketchup file into Aspire and produced the CNC vectors and toolpaths. I just need two more hands to load these sheets onto the CNC. I have been waiting just over a year so far. Wish I had mom like you :)

Great to have a level basement floor - in any basement I've been associated with, I'd have had to work out a way to level the base along the length. The pocket holes to attach the tops to the wall is a lot neater than the "L"-shaped bits of metal I've used on the past. Nice design - I've never been a fan of the double layered uprights, and your design with the "I" uprights made construction a lot easier than trying to fix the uprights in place, vertical and evenly spaced - brilliant!
