Morgan! I am in my sixties! I want you to appreciate how beautiful and inspiring you are! You are amazing and helped me get through the pandemic when I retired. I enjoy watching your channel and think, “ oh to be in my twenties-again!” You do NOT have a double chin, believe me! I am super proud of you, that you survived Landon’s absence-I get it. There was a time when I moved across country and was totally on my own. My life now is very rewarding and comfortable.

My Goodness Morgan, you hair is sooo long now, and sooo beautiful. You are a beautiful young woman, both inside and out. I want to thank you, along with everyone on here I am sure, for helping us get through anxious times, just thinking of your saying " Go get yourself a cup of tea or coffee, grab your coziest of blankets" it is just so calming, and really helps! I am 66 years young, and love watching all your videos, and have read some of the books you have recommended so beautifully to us all. I hope it is not long now, until your beloved Landon returns? What celebrations there will be had then, I am sure, by you and your beautiful Roo dog. Blessings, and warm hugs sent to you from Jilly & Madge the black rescue greyhound, from West Devon, England. xxx

Les Mis is the best book i’ve ever read, if you love the musical you get SO much more info about the characters. Hugo’s writing is so topical, so political, so funny, it could’ve been written a year ago. def reccomend the audio book just to help you get through it! but i can assure you you will not want to put it down

I live in the Southern Hemisphere and after watching many of your vlogs over the last year or so, I want to visit Powell’s bookshop 🙂Though it’s been challenging, I believe your time apart and personal growth in that time will make for a stronger and healthier marriage. Well done you for turning lemon (a challenge) into lemonade (a positive) 🍋 I ordered a pre-owned copy of Roof Toppers by Katherine Rundell based on your recommendation (and based on online feedback). It sounds like a delightful read. Look forward to you next vlog 🍂🍁🐿

The one book I would recommend reading an abridged edition of is Les Mis. Victor Hugo is an excellent author, but he writes several chapters on a minor character, an entire chapter on a year (not what happened to characters during that year, but the year itself), and so on. An abridged edition will give you a good sample of his writing and won't omit any of the plot.

A shop for all would be great! I was a patreon for a while but couldn't keep it up. I would like to support but can't afford to do this monthly. I did get the beautiful sticker of the open book with the flowers and received many compliments. ( I put it on my water bottle.🙂) Glad Landon will he back soon. This experience has reminded me of when my husband was deployed for almost a year. Not easy but I felt stonger and did things I didn't know I was capable of.

I am proud of you for braving the summer, learning who you are as a person and not just as part of a couple. We tend to lose who we are sometimes when we are married. We become one and forget that we are two separate as well. It's difficult to navigate and balance some times. I understand what you went through alone. But sometimes we need that, don't we? To remove ourselves from the dependence and go within to find our inner strength. Be proud of yourself. Also, I believe getting that call from Landon and him needing you, did your heart a world of good. That even in this time of finding yourselves, it was good for you to know that you are still needed, wanted, valued and loved. And he too, knowing that you would stop the world to get to him. In that video, all the worries I had for the both of you left immediately. You two are meant to travel this life's journey together. And this time has made you each stronger alone and will strengthen your togetherness. Sending love to you both, enjoy your reunion...without us lol, we will all be here and hug you both with likes and loves and warm comments! You two first, we can wait for the update video of you two together 😊

I was listening to a psychologist. He said, as you mature you get back to enjoying things you did in your childhood again. Which makes sense. I think maturity is loving yourself and being "ok" with what makes you "you". Not living for what "people" may think of you. I am at a place to where I am unapologetically myself and happy with that.

I adore children's literature! Middle grades stuff is so good. Last year I read "The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place" (six-book series described as "Jane Eyre meets Lemony Snicker") by Maryrose Wood; this year I read "Here in the Real World" by Sara Pennypacker ("Pax"; "Pax Returns")... I can't recommend them both highly enough. It's perfect you and your book club are reading "The Graveyard Book", because I have just read "Fortunately, the Milk" by Neil aloud to my children, and read both "American Gods" and "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" this year. I absolutely adore Gaiman. I am thrilled Landon is doing well and you are doing so well and reunion is so near for you both. I imagine you'll feel all the familiarity and have so very much to learn about each other and the ways in which you've grown. Also: dogs are fantastic. And I find myself extra-fond of Monsieur Roo, because Roo is my nickname. ;)

Remember you and Landon have spent all summer creating solo routines. Coming back together will be wonderful, but will also be an adjustment. I dealt with this when when my husband retired and new routines had to be negotiated. My son, in the military, and his family, had to deal with these shifts too. It's inevitable to have some bumps and rattles in the integration period. I loved watching you negotiate bed space with Rhu. It's a nightly event here with a small dog and two floofy cats. And I didn't even notice the clothes at the end of the bed. Doesn't EVERYONE have clothes at the end of the bed? Just me? LOL

Thank you so much Morgan for the wonderful video and the book recommendation ❤ A story taking place on the roofs of Paris can only be wonderful! I laughed sooo hard about your Les Misérables adventure 😂 I tried to read it many times and always stopped at some point! I remember getting home late as a student back when I was in Uni : I had borrowed Les Mis from the library and the book was soo huge and heavy that it felt like a brick in my bag! I used to think that if anything weird happened on my way home I could always use the book as a projectile and run away 😂 Also thank you for your kind and encouraging words. Things have been busy and messy lately and your words brought so much comfort. I am slowly learning to be kinder to myself and your KZbin channel helps me a great deal. Lots of love ❤

I have been to the musical of les miserables in the Netherlands. It was so, so amazing! I took my husband with me who doesn't really like musicals and even he's in awe. After seeing the musical I wanted to own the book but not the musical version and it was so hard to find. I eventually found a guy at a farmers market who had a copy. But he constantly forgot to take it with him. After a few weeks he brought them. He told me he was very sorry because it was a very old copy. But I fell in love, it was a beautiful old yellowed version of the book. I personally feel that these books are the best, also because they smell the best 🤭. I wish you an amazing time at the show!

Les Miserables is a seriously tough read. So much filler that just drones on and on. I read it in my teens and it did nothing to improve my enjoyment of any of the versions of it I've seen. It does expand on why Valjean was in prison so long.

For larger books that seem intimidating I highly recommend starting it by reading it along with the audiobook. Then when you get drawn in you can either continue on your own or stick with the audio book. Also if the audio doesn't keep up with how quick your eyes read then speed up the time of the audiobook to how fast your eyes can catch the words. I did Mobey dick this way and it was amazing.

Hello hello Morgan! I absolutely ADORE your videos and I wanted to offer up a suggestion (meant with the greatest love and kindness ☺️)-- when you read the titles of books you tend to turn away from the camera to read the cover, but I was thinking, if you keep looking at the camera while saying it it'll subconsciously keep the audience more involved! Totally up to you because either way I know you're being your truest self and that's really the only thing that matters. Thanks for sharing your brightness with the world!

So fun! I adore each and every one of your videos! I’m so curious - was it the Oat milk creamer or the tea that was off? Or the combination?

I happy to hear Landon doing better! Sometimes space apart can strengthen relationships. When I was dating my now husband he was in the army. We was stationed for over seas for over a year and I worried how it would impact us. We had to learn to be open and honest to each other. I think it helped because now 18 years later we are still together.
