Is it really necessary to read TMI and TDA before starting this series? I’ve only read TID and absolutely adored it so I would love to read the story that follows the children of the characters from TID, but I really have no interest in the other two series and can’t see myself committing to 10 huge books just to get to The Last Hours🙈

nah i think reading just tid means ur good to go... like even cc said that reading tid is not compulsory to understand chain of gold and i was like "💀💀💀" but yeah shes right its just that tid is so awesome and chain of gold will spoil lots of things but yeah i have read only tid too so i think thats enough to understand chain of gold :)
