I've been following your channel for a lot of these years and it's been so cool to see so many big life changes. Love that you're thriving! I'm also really excited to watch the community-driven content you're planning.

Have you read A Dowry of Blood? For some reason I feel like you would like it. Glad you're bringing TAGs back... I've been making videos since 2009 (KZbin grandma)... and I MISS tags. They are so chill and fun to film, and I actually like watching them too.

One of my favorite channels is worldhoppers because of the collaborative effort and different topics they bring up. It’s sort of like the panels from Booknet fest, just done virtually. I would love to see more creators just do that on their channels.

Happy anniversary Sam! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I would love to see the old guard like Regan, Aerial, Jesse etc doing this tag.

I feel so old when I think about how I have been on booktube since 2010 😅 I was here when the first TBR and Wrap Up videos were created! But then I remember I was basically a baby at 17 so I'm not THAT old 😂 Wild that I celebrated my 18th while on Booktube! I miss the small community tbh, but I do like the little pockets of Booktube that I randomly come across and then go on a watching and subscribing spree.

Oh my goodness. When I saw this thumbnail and title I thought, oh, another newbie. Boy, was I mistaken. Congratulations on 10 years! Job well done. I can learn a lot from you. Thank you for sharing -James

I definitely miss many things from the booktube of old such as tags and stuff. I first subscribed to your channel back in 2016 on my old account when I first started my own booktube channel (it has long since been deleted now, lol). Some of my favorite videos of yours used to be the Top 5 Wednesday videos, and I'm sure I was annoying with constantly commenting under your videos asking what lipstick you were wearing because you always wore the coolest colors! Lol. Happy 10 year booktube anniversary 🎉 And as a fellow stranger on the internet that also moved out of Delaware to the midwest, I understand 1000% about being miserable there 😅

I love a good book tag! I think I’ve been subscribed since about 2016, makes me feel old. I miss discussion videos from the old days, I love the video essays but like you say they must take so much work. I think it’s harder since we’ve all grown up a bit too because the days of book boyfriend tags and favourite couple videos were so much fun but I’m not sure any of us could go back to them and enjoy them the same now we’re in our 30s 😂

Congratulations on 10 years! That's amazing! I've been watching for almost that long. You were one of the first booktubers I found, and the only one from that initial group that I still watch. I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store.

Def agree about tiktok not being good for fostering community, I don’t even make videos but I get annoyed on a daily basis at how difficult it is to actually communicate in comment sections. The character limit is brutal and replies display in such a disorganized way it’s just impossible to really converse there
@ThoughtsOnTomes8 ай бұрын
Yes! It’s truly not built for community. The following page isn’t even good at showing you consistent content from who you follow. Bring back chronological timelines I’m begging 😩

So crazy that you’ve had your channel for 10 years! I’ve been watching BookTube since 2012 so I feel like I’ve been here so long and have seen a lot of these trends come and go. I miss tags too! Remember Top 5 Wednesday? I loved those videos 😂

I'll try to get to this one day :P I'm so untrendy that I had no idea that tags had fallen out of favour, but that is pretty on brand for me.

Oh, this is perfect. Monica Kim made one of these a few years ago, and I was thinking of doing it, and I literally thought of tagging you 😂. But now I'm definitely gonna do your version! Or maybe a combo of both?
@booksaremysociallife7 ай бұрын
I feel you about not caring to do the new deepdive style videos that are norm on bigger channels. For some time I felt like I needed to make those videos and now I've made peace with the fact that I don't have the capacity for that.
@booksaremysociallife7 ай бұрын
I also really miss community oriented spaces. Booktube used to feel like more of an online community and not like social media. It used to feel like a place where we come to connect and not so much a place and less like a place where we feel like we have a build a brand as an individual.

I can't believe it's been 10 years o.o I don't even think I could count the amount of books i've read because of you (N*verN*ght for one which is a favorite series of all time!) and the joy all your videos have brought me over the years! So happy anniversary! It's amazing to see you thriving

Hey I hope this isn't too much but I remember back in some of the other videos other clips that I've seen you do you mentioned you were therapist and I just wanted to say that I am an addict and I do consider myself an alcoholic and it's just there's something about your videos then makes me look forward to the week look forward to new things and it's keeping me on a good track I don't know if that makes sense I know it's ultimately our responsibility to stay on the right track and to be accountable but you make me feel like I have hope everyday I guess does that make sense I hope this isn't too much respectfully from a stranger name Ben
