Oh wow. My son found this for me when I mentioned that my father used to sign a song about Father Murphy from the County Wexford. I had never heard the full version. Thank you so much.

@tunafish2006 thank you so much for this comment, that really made my day! I HIGHLY recommend checking out Brian Roebuck's version of Boolavogue, I think it's my personal favorite.

Hi, I'm from Tipperary Ireland and love that song. My dad is 84 and can sing the whole song. My grandfather took up the fight against the British in Irish War of Independence from 1919-21. Father Murphys time was the 1798 rebellion mostly in Wexford. You should go to Wexford some time, some great history and museums about the rebellion and JFKs homestead is there. I love the background you where u sang the song. Would absolutely love to go to Colarado, looks like a beautiful state and ride horseback. Thanks for the redition of Boolavogue. Have a look at Banna Strand by the Wolfetones, brilliant song too.

Wow, thanks so much for this message. Your grandpa sounds like he was a brave man, I bet your proud! I definitely wanna visit Wexford, Enniscorthy, and other sites from the 1798 uprisings. I haven't been to Ireland yet but it's big in my heart and actually in my blood as well. Colorado has a lot to offer, and yes for sure plenty of opportunities for horseback riding. I recommend Western Colorado, on the other side of the continental Divide from the state capital. The Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, the West Elks mountain range and so much more to see. Thanks again for this comment!

A gay American accent isn't the best for this wonderful song. I doubt if Fr. Murphy would approve.
