this stuff is so awesome, I got two boxes on release day. I hit one plexi card in each box, Bobby Hull, frozen in Time, and then a rookie premiere of Jacob perreult limited to only 50 as it is a gold variation. And my two autos were ridiculous as well. A rookie patch auto limited to 49.of korczak on the Golden Knights, so the patch on this card was really sick. And a Jake Sanderson rookie premier auto limited to only 99. I may have to go back and buy another box or two depending on what else comes out the rest of the summer.

Wow you've been having some great Ducks mojo! 2 Duck pucks in two boxes haha. Your videos are making me consider to grab a box or two of this stuff. Just need a bit of extra luck to land some of my Ducks though. I would still consider that as a rookie card, even though it is an update card. There wasn't any Trilogy last year, so this counts!

Very nice box! Wicked Zegras auto. I'd still call it a rookie and should have full value. The plexi cards are just so beautiful as well. Nice parallels and Crosby base 😂. Maybe this starts to become the new SP signature legends with the luck? We'll see. Thanks for sharing! #dryden

Great box. I really like the Trilogy rookie cards. They look beautiful and compared to the YG much shorter print run. And for the most part they are much more affordable on the secondary market. I definitely consider that autograph puck to be a rookie. I still don't understand why people don't consider inserts as rookie cards. Like back in the day I still considered the Record Breaker or Highlights cards to be rookies too. I decided a long time ago that I would consider what I believe to be a rookie, a rookie and everyone else can decide for themselves. Although for some reason a lot of people don't seem to want to think for themselves. They want some company like Beckett or UD to tell them what is and isn't a rookie. Well said Angus. I def see inserts as rookies, but I get that many only consider base as rookies. Where that theory breaks down is when sets don't have rookies in the base. Like SPx "truer" rookies are lettered Auto-Jerseys and Shadow Boxes. And, Leaf checklists sometimes don't even have base cards. The reason I push back against a strict reading is Beckett is inconsistent, and often completely ignores non-licensed products. I also know in my heart when I receive an insert rookie, it is a rookie to me. If there were an independent governing body for cards, an impartial third-party, I may or may not subscribe to it. But Beckett and UD have a vested interest. I always feel the propensity to group-think or accept these pre-baked nomenclatures is inherently anti-democratic and anti-free-market, often to the detriment of our wallets. Meaning: everyone is ushered into a few products, names, and cards, further precipitating gambling and thus higher prices. Yet, the average cards we do hit cannot have any secondary market value. So it's really a very philosophical debate.

The Zegras is a rookie. Simple test is does another card of his exist prior to this one I the trilogy series. Since there isn’t it is a rookie. Great card I’m drooling. #dryden
