About Boom Beach-
Boom Beach is a strategy game and combines attacks on other players with attacks against computer based bases. The game's story-line is set in a tropical archipelago with the player on an island with defences and troops (similar to the gameplay in Supercell's Clash of Clans game) Players can build their base, upgrading their defenses and other buildings, and unlock troop upgrades. Boom Beach includes single player campaign play as well as the ability to attack other players in multiplayer mode. It has been a top 10 game in 22 countries at its launch. The game pits the player vs. an enemy known as "The Blackguard" who are often represented by Lt. Hammerman. Apart from the main aspect of the game, there is also a cooperative form where you create task forces. Everyone must gather Intel (whether it be by surviving or ordering attacks, or by rewards), where then upper classed players then attack bases. Each attack lasts a day, with a varying amount of Intel in order to initiate, and the bases are separated from archipelago. tip: don't put your normal buildings at the front because when they are destroying your buildings they are getting more and more gunboat engery and nothing is stopping then because your defences at the back

One key point, don't upgrade "ALL" landing craft, pick a focus, enough capacity to carry one more of your favourite troop, as unless you are into the Zerg rush tactic with rifles, 1 level upgrade may mean nothing, but certain capacities are key. Once you hit the magic level, push another one. I tend to think in capacity, the number on the back of the boat, which is the level plus 4 5 = 5 Rifles, this is your level 1 landing craft, rifles always fit 100% / 1 Medic 6 = 3 Zookas (fit 100% every even capacity), 2 Warriors - 8 = 1 Tank / 2 Heavy / 4 Zookas 9 = 3 Warriors 10 = 2 Medics - 12 = 4 Warriors, 2 Grenades (3 H, 6Z) - - 15 = 3 Medics, 5 Warriors 16 = 2 TANKS - a minimum for realistic tank attacks - 18 = 3 Grenades (their overthrows can be good for softening up targets behind the front line) - 20 = 4 Medics 21 = SCORCHER ... now you're cooking! - - 24 = 3 Tanks, 4 Grenades 25 = 5 Medics Cryoneers are also a size 4 unit like the Heavy, but by the time you unlock them, your craft should be a reasonable size. I've also ignored size 2, 3 & 4 units at the larger sizes

I've been playing this game for a couple of years now. I've never spent a dime on it. I keep my victory points low. I won't become straight offensive player until my base is completely maxed out. At this point, I'm at level 60 with a headquarters level 20. I've always upgraded whatever is cheaper in resources. I never rush my headquarters. I only upgrade my headquarters until I have nothing left to upgrade in the armory and no other map quadrants to unlock. My base gets successfully raided once every 8 months. Any other attempt is a defensive win for me.

id say im a bit of both. offense and defense but offense should be your first priority i feel. for the reason that if your playing defence serously then your gonna need little amount of offense statues and its hard to be compeditive after a certain point. the only way u get the knowledge for that is by focusing on offense

The main difference is in COC you make resoucres mostly by producing and guarding them, in boom beac you make by attacking.

Not only that in offense, Coc is more of spawning troops in the correct side so they can do all the work. Boom Beach is more of leading your troops to the correct defenses and places since you just have one spawn point and have flares

Now there are Heroes, so you wouldn’t have to upgrade the Radar as often because that’s even more gold to spend. Also, you forgot about HQ lvls 6/9 & the Radar. It’s the same for each (with one slight exception, and I’ll use Stone at HQ6 for an example. At HQ6, Stone is unlocked, but the Quarry is not unlocked until HQ7. If to be able to produce Stone at HQ6, one needs a Stone resource base. To unlock the first Stone Resource Base, one needs a lvl6 Radar, which requires Stone to the point that a Stone storage is required, which requires Stone. To get the Stone for the 1st 2, Dr. T is required. The exception is that HQ6 has stones as obstacles that can removed for Stone, but no obstacles give Iron.

For me: HQ, Radar, Vault, Gunboat, Landing Crafts (lv 20 is the sweet spot because anything after that the resource grind required doesn't really match the return. You might have differing opinions depending on your troop preferences but i'm a T-Med user.). Lastly Armory, my priority on armory is low because i'm a completionist when it comes to troops, i wish to enjoy the game longer by not over-powering any troop combination. Instead, i made sure all available troops are upgraded to the max before upgrading my armory.

a lot of people saying they don't upgrade their vault. That's super important to upgrade. I forget what percent it starts out at but I know it's way below 88. not only does the vault let you store more resources, it protects a lot of your resources and if you have less than what it stores nobody can touch those resources. so if it's max and you have less than 800k gold and 450k wood iron and stone then it's pointless for people to attack you bc they won't get anything

there is a downfall in upgrading your hq if you dont buy extra builders then you cant upgrade anything else while your waiting for hq to finish so i recommend only upgradehq if you have nothing else to upgrade

I can remember when my vault only protect about 60 percent and people would attack me if I had about 2.5 million gold they'd get over 600k easy. I'd get attacked 3 or 4 times a day and lose about 1.5 million gold. right now I have 2.24 million gold and I can only lose 200k. if you don't upgrade it and it only protects 60 to 70 percent it only takes 2 or 3 attacks to lose over 1 million gold, now it'll take 5 or 6 attacks. it's a huge difference.

I got paired with a level 65 when I was a level 23. I can see that he put his headquarters to the left and out of range of all defenses so I guess he's really trying to drop his VP. 😂😂😂😂😂 As for me, I don't really think you should give more importance in upgrading something than another, unless you really need to. I just think you should upgrade everything to the same level before carrying on.

I've never had a lower level player on my map. The mercenaries on my map are 6 to 16 levels above me. Pretty the same for getting attacked. I get raided 2x daily by people that smoke me, they are usually 10 levels above me. They don't lose troops. Even if I had max defense I still wouldn't have had a chance since they are so far above me. I was level 28/29 and getting smooka attacked. Is anyone else only ever had higher level players on their map?
