Boom Racing Portal Axles Conversion on leaf spring and few tips and test drive.

Unwanted Yota is a 10+ year old RC4WD Trailfinder Mojave kit that's been highly modified over its lifetime. Recently been converted to a long wheelbased chassis.
Heres a list of parts and mods to my nearly 10+ year old Trailfinder.
Castle Mamba X esc.
Holmes-Hobbies Revolver outrunner 1800kv
Protek 370TBL 650oz servo for steering.
Protek 382oz Torque Space-Saver servo for shifting duties....and a Traxxas Summit shifting spring as a servo-saver.
Boom Racing BRX70 axles with BRX90 conversion infront.
And of course the newest install...the Boom Racing Portal Conversion for the BRX70 and BRX90 axles.

3.30 ring and pinion in front with 3.75s in the rear.
The following are all A&M parts; sliders, transfer-case skid, front bumper with shackle-reversal and anti-wrap bar...all mounting holes have been Counter-sunk for smooth sliding over rocks.
Transmission has a custom shift-coller to take-up slack in the transmission.
Motor-drop conversation with steering moved to the passenger side.

Yeah, my tubes are spinning on the axle housing like I said, kind a like the splines are stripped and I tighten them braid up. I love the axle though

I've had the axle spin also. I need to get the new anti-spin brackets that are sold separately. My Son spins his at nearly every outing.

For your information. There should be some 1mm spacers provided to fill the gap you mentioned on the bracket. The instruction manual told to use the spacers if no BRX axle skid plate is installed.

You're absolutely right. But I modified my brackets because they were a little wide for the diameter of the axle tube. I heated it to close the gap....if I didn't it'd get hung up on stuff. Because I modified the bracket slightly I just bent the tab closer to the mounting point. Didn't need the spacer.

Hey, thank you for your time I have theBRX90 on my forerunner trail finder and I was having a problem with the twisting on the splines. I love these axles I really do this video was the reason why I ordered them I don’t have the portal but I’m happy anyways, do you know the name that I can look up to find, that rap that you’re talking about to make it so the spline snow slip and my pinion angle changes

Thank you for the kind words. No, I don't. If you look at the portals on the Boom Racing sight, those little brackets should show up as "related searched."

Have you ran into any issues with the tubes being stripped, and the axle housing to where the third member pinion moves up and down with acceleration at the splines or stripped how do you keep that from happening?

They don't visibly look stripped. But yes, I've had them spin. You have to really tighten them down. I've ran longer bolts all the way through and put a nut on the other side.

What kind of anti wrap bar did you use front axle? Is it an A&M anti wrap bar or boom racing anti wrap bar?

I use all A&M stuff.

@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 The ones they sell for the rear axle can also be used in the front? Thanks for the feedback too. I've got TF2 with a Boom Racing axle on the front. The front axle torques quite a bit when driving forward.

You're right, they have so much traction with the weight and gearing , those axles create alot torque-twist for those spring to deal with. Yes, you can use the rear anti-wrap bar in the front, but I believe Ben(I think that's his name), shorten the shaft if you tell him you need one for the front.
